Private caravans for hire in Dorset
Dorset is home the beautiful and iconic Jurassic Coast that takes up three quarters of the coastline, you are sure to be amazed by Dorset’s stunning scenery and friendly welcome.
Dorset’s world renowned Jurassic Coast stretches for 95 miles between Old Harry Rocks at Studland Bay to Exmouth in East Devon, England’s first natural UNESCO World Heritage Site and reveals 185 million years of Earth’s history. The rocks and fossils found are from the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods – between 65 & 200 million years ago, so it is a hot bed for fossil hunting.
Being an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the county’s big open skies are perfect for seeing stars. Dorset is fortunate to have low levels of light pollution, with many locations across the county for you to experience the wonderful dark skies. Cranborne Chase AONB is only 1 of 20 International Dark Sky Reserves in the world and is one of the best places in the country for stargazing.
The county is easily accessible with excellent connections from International airports, ferry ports, national & local railway and coach & bus services.
