About the Area

Freshwater Beach Holiday Park is located in Burton Bradstock, near Bridport. On site you’ll find two indoor heated children’s pools, along with a large heated pool. There’s also a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and gym. Outside are two further pools for adults and children, with a shaded patio area for dogs.

Passes to access the swimmimg pools are provided for our guests, but when leaving please ensure you leave them in the caravan on departure. Lost passes are chargeable at £10 per pass.

Swimming sessions need to be booked on the Freshwater app.

Tenpin bowling is available upstairs in the Jurassic Fun Centre, which also has a restaurant and bar, while downstairs you will find an arcade with numerous amusements.

There are two playgrounds for children with swings, slides etc. The Freshwater Yellow Coats also entertain children during the day; information and times can be found on the Freshwater app.

The Atlantic bar is the venue for evening entertainment and again information can be found on the Freshwater app.

The site has a launderette, with several washing machines and tumble dryers, and a Spar shop with an enormous stock of items.

Locally, the village of Burton Bradstock is a pleasant walk away where you will find two pubs, The Three Horseshoes and The Anchor, both serving excellent food. Hive Beach is another pleasant spot with a renowned restaurant.

If you want to walk to West Bay from Freshwater you can follow the footpath from the main drive, over the golf course. At West Bay you can book various boat trips, fishing trips or fish from the pier.

Charmouth (known for finding fossils on the beach) and Lyme Regis are a short drive away and well worth visiting.

Bridport has a market on Wednesday and Saturday, and the town has a range of independent shops.

Weymouth, with its beautiful sandy beach, and Portland both have interesting things to do. Weymouth has a SeaLife Centre and the Nothe Fort, while the lighthouse at Portland Bill is now a visitor centre and you can climb to the top if feeling energetic!

If you don’t want to drive, there’s an open top bus operating from Bridport to Weymouth, via the Coast Road with beautiful views. The bus stop is at the top of the drive into Freshwater and fares are very reasonable.

Other places fairly close to Freshwater include The Swannery and Tropical Gardens, both at Abbotsbury.
