About the Area

Millendreath, approximately a mile from Looe (as the crow flies), has its own private beach, which has a jetty from which to fish and enclosed bathing at high tide. At low tide the beach is sandy, with lots of rock pools further along the beach.

There is no pool or amusements on site but you have the beach within walking distance. There is a beach side restaurant, take away and bar.

There are coastal paths, countryside and woodland walks from the valley. If the tide is right you can walk along the beach to Looe or Seaton and come back along the coastal paths. Ideal for dog walkers or ramblers.

At the top of the lane is a fish and chip shop. Just another 10 minute walk is the barbican where there is a Pub, Chinese Take away, Londis with a cash machine and off licence.

Within walking distance for the energetic is the Monkey Sanctuary, you can drive if you want though.

Looe golf course is only 10 minutes drive away. There are many other courses within easy drive.

Looe is a picturesque fishing town with harbour, restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops dotted through its narrow quaint streets. A popular family pass time is fishing for crabs from the quay side.

A few miles further on is the quaint coastal village of Polperro, well worth a day out.

Other places of interest include Charleston Shipwreck and Heritage Museum, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Restmorel Castle and world famous Eden Project. Plus many more places throughout the peninsula.
