About the Area

Once only known to the Welsh, Cenarth is now is becoming a landmark stop on the way through this beautiful Welsh countryside. Although geographically in Carmarthenshire, only a bridge divides us from Ceredigion and we are just a few miles away Pembrokeshire.

Cenarth Falls is well known to the Welsh, particularly fishermen for this is where the Salmon and Sewin make their way from the sea to spawn; it is known as the ‘Salmon Leap’ as they push their way forward over the rapids and rocks to lay their eggs. Salmon and Sewin is very popular with the locals and the two pubs in the village often have it on the menu, and very prized it is by all.

We are very close to Cardigan, which is a small market town that also has its own castle.

Poppit Sands, Aberporth and Newquay are all popular beaches that are also very close.
