MA13 is situated in the Mazets area; a tranquil part of La Carabasse in Vias Plage, featuring homes with gardens & outbuildings, close to the pool & ‘back door’ to the beach (10 minute walk).

This air-conditioned home has 3 bedrooms (the master with additional storage to enable complete unpacking for your stay), two bathrooms (master en-suite) and a well equipped kitchen (including dishwasher) with double doors opening directly onto the deck.

The living area has a sofa and breakfast bar with a couple of tambour stools.

There is an eight seat wooden table on the covered deck (enclosed, with sides that are easily raised and lowered). The open area of the deck has a large ‘sunbrella’, comfortable seating and a coffee table. The large lawned garden has six sun loungers and is home to two ‘Mazets’, one with a diverter mixer shower, WC and two large basins; the other with a washing machine and tumble dryer. You will also find a cool box, a selection of cool bags, beach parasols, beach towels, some garden and beach games, plus a large gas barbeque with 4 burners and a side burner. Two adult and two kids/teen bicycles are also available.

Ample parking is available for a large family vehicle.

Location

La Carabasse is one of the south of France’s most popular holiday villages, with a giant outdoor pool, kids’ pool, water play area, and water slides; multi-sports area; climbing frame with zip-wire; a number of play areas for the younger kids; tennis courts, petanque terrain and a large outdoor entertainment stage.

The on-site supermarket has everything for your self-catering needs and also offers a very good butcher’s counter, fresh fruit & veg and a continuous supply of freshly baked baguettes.

Situated in the Languedoc region on France’s Mediterranean coast, La Carabasse is an extremely popular choice with families thanks to its lively, friendly atmosphere.

With fun-packed kids’ clubs (that run from 10am-12 and 4pm-6pm five and a half days a week), exercise classes and sports during the day, evening entertainment ranging from song and dance shows, skits & sketches and guest bands on the outdoor stage and quiz nights, karaoke and bingo (with some surprisingly generous prizes) in the Atol bar, La Carabasse really does have it all!

The shallow shelving sandy beach is a 10 minute walk either cross-country via the back door (remember the code to get back in!) or along Avenue de la Méditerranée, the wide footpath giving way to a pedestrianised beach approach with a multitude of shops, restaurants, cafés, bars and ice cream parlours! While the beach offers pedalos, paddle boards, ringos, banana boats and jet skis, these are well marshalled and not invasive.

There are three ‘on the beach’ restaurants where you can enjoy a leisurely meal or cooling drink while the “so bored between courses” youngsters can leave the table and go play in the sand.

The pretty town of Vias (20-25 minutes walk, short drive or hopper bus from directly outside La Carabasse main entrance) has a number of bars and restaurants and is home to a large (120+ stalls) market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings as well as a number of music and arts festivals during the summer months.

The equestrian centre a short stroll from the front gates offers horse/pony riding trips as well as regular rodeo shows. Next to this is California Mini Golf with two themed courses and behind these is Europark, the biggest fixed fairground in France that offers every type of ride you could think of, with over 80 attractions.
There are often special reduced rates if you’re looking to maximize on the fun. In the evenings, this funfair also illuminates the sky with fireworks.

The local area has a fascinating history with Roman and Greek influences as well as regional and religious wars and campaigns and a tradition of defiance. Beziers (20 mins drive), Montpellier (40 mins), Pezenas (25 mins) Narbonne (35mins) and Carcassonne (60 mins) are all worth a visit. The border with Spain is 90 mins and Barcelona is an option for a day trip (2.5 hours each way)

If you are seeking a quiet time to kick back and relax in the sun, explore the beautiful landscape and historic sites or have a full-on action-packed adventure, La Carabasse will certainly give you what you are looking for.
