Wales with it's 3 beautiful national parks including Snowdonia and Pembrokeshire Coast is a fantastic place for caravan holidays.
Wales is split into 4 regions, North, South, Mid and West Wales. The Welsh language and Celtic culture mixed with rolling countryside brilliant coastline and city nightlife makes Wales a popular holiday destination.
Wales coastline is one of the cleanest in the UK with many blue flag beaches. The glorious coastline is perfect for sunbathing, fossil hunting or water sports.
Some famous seaside towns in Wales include Rhyl and Prestatyn. With huge sandy beaches and classic seafront amusements these popular short break destinations in the North of Wales are easily accessible via car.
You can't talk about Wales without mentioning Snowdonia or the Brecon Beacons. The mountains in Wales are fantastic with some awesome countryside. As someone who has been to the top of Snowdon with the boy scouts i can still to this day remember those majestic views.
Mounting biking, hiking, mountaineering, rock climbing and many other outdoor activities are easily accessible.
Wales is steeped in history and there is nothing better than being able to feel that history under your feet and with your hands via the 600+ castles in Wales. Some of these are beautifully preserved including Caerphilly Castle, Caernarfon Castle in Snowdonia and many more.
Travelling to Wales
Easiest by road, using the M4 from London and just a few hours from most UK main cities. From Birmingham take the M6 and M56 to North Wales. There is also the Severn Bridge but this route will include a toll crossing. Travelling to Wales can be even quicker by train.
By Train - main route to Wales is from London to Cardiff which allows easy connections to Pembrokeshire and other Welsh cities.
