About the Area
Mablethorpe Chalet Park has a play area for the children just outside the cedars, which itself has just had a full refurbishment. There you can get the same as any pub snacks, pool, bingo and good beer; we have also been advised that food is available with a good menu .
From our chalet, if you go down Links Avenue to the end and turn left, this will take you to the seal sanctuary where you can see the young seals that have been saved, along with birds and a peacock, plus other small animals. There is also a café and a shop. When leaving the seal sanctuary, just through the car park you can catch the road train to Mablethorpe.
Back on Links Avenue, at the bottom, go over the road and you are on the way to the beach, where you will find miles of sand from north to south. When on the beach you can get the sand train into Mablethorpe.
If you turn right at the bottom of Links Avenue, this will take you to Mablethorpe, but before that there is the cinema where they have all the top films - then on to Mablethorpe. You can walk or take the land train into Mablethorpe where you have all the fun of the seaside; a fun fair, donkey rides, crazy golf, ten pin bowling, arcades and face painting. Then there’s the shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. Or up to Queens Park, where you will find a free paddling pool for the children, a café with food, drinks and ice creams - or you can hire a beach hut for the day. The number 59 bus runs from Mablethorpe into Skegness.
