Our seaside caravan is located on Seton Sands Holiday Park in East Lothian, Scotland.
We have an incredible, unobstructed sea view that you can enjoy from inside the caravan or outside on the private deck.
The caravan is newly renovated with new carpeting throughout, new flooring in the kitchen, a brand new shower stall and fixtures, newly upholstered couch and chairs, and the brand new double mattress - not to mention general decorating upgrades!
This is our home away from home and we absolutely love it, and the beautiful location. We hope you will too!
The living room is spacious with a wrap-around couch under the picture windows that look out across the Firth of Forth, along with a 32" flat screen Freeview TV with DVD player. The table in the dining area seats four comfortably.
The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans and everything else you'd need to cook up a feast or just quick snacks. There's a cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle.
The caravan has three bedrooms; one double (brand new IKEA mattress) and two twin rooms, each with two twin beds. The beds in the twin rooms can be pushed together to form a small double if preferred. There's also a fold-out double bed in the living room. Although the caravan technically sleeps 8, we have a limit of a maximum of 6 guests.
There's one bathroom with a shower.
We've left a hair dryer, ironing board, iron and vacuum for your convenience.
You can park your car right at the caravan.
Enjoy the gorgeous Edinburgh sunsets from the deck whilst having a meal or a drink. There's a table with a large umbrella that seats four on the deck. You won't be able to stay away from the beautiful beach that's right at your doorstep - we're out there every single day when we're at the caravan and we find ourselves walking for hours on end.
***Unfortunately, we are party-poopers! We have a strict policy against parties.. hen, bachelor, or otherwise. We've had some negative experiences with people renting the caravan and using it as the "hang out" van with other families who are also staying at the park. It's the logical place to gather because of our view and the deck, but too many people lead to damage, so we like to be very up-front about our policy. We will have security called if we receive a report back that the van is being used in this way. Sorry. A few quiet, respectful visitors enjoying some time there, of course, is fine.
**We love, LOVE, LOVE dogs, but can't allow them at the caravan because of allergies future guests may have to hair.
**Absolutely no smoking inside the caravan, and on the deck only with the door closed. Smoke doesn't know not to drift inside if the door is open. :)
SETON SANDS HOLIDAY PARK DETAILS:
I'll start with food; the full-service Boatie Beast bar and restaurant is newly refurbished with an extensive menu. Being from Los Angeles, I can complain, as we Americans tend to do about British food, but honestly, the food here is really good! There's a handy chippy/pizza take-away right at the door of the activity centre. There's also a surprisingly well-stocked convenience store at the far end of the park where you can find groceries and other essentials, plus gifts, DVDs, etc.
There's a lovely outdoor sitting/dining area between the pool and the restaurant with two outdoor pool tables and a big screen TV for watching sporting events.
The two beautiful and large indoor pools are new/refurbished as of the summer of 2017. Enjoy the fun slides and water features, along with scheduled, inflatable water obstacle courses for the kids and other water activities. There's a wonderful wading pool for the wee ones. There are fun pool toys available and the facilities include newly renovated showers and dressing room areas.
The activity centre also boasts a fun arcade, soft play area, pool tables and a show bar. The show bar has fun programmes and activities for children during the day- come and go as you please. At night, it becomes a club for adults with music, dancing and various bands performing throughout the season.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the activity centre and in some other areas of the park.
There's a laundry facility next to the convenience store.
A brand new, nine hole golf course has just been completed. Enjoy a round and then stop into the new club house on the green for a drink or snack. There are also pedal carts available for hire on the park grounds.
The outdoor play area is a fantasyland for kids; it's hard to get our granddaughter away from it. It's also newly refurbished and you can sometimes find us climbing the rope tree or sliding down one of the slides too! There's also an archery tent where you can sign up for archery classes - it's a blast! The classes are for kids and adults. On the other side of the activity centre there's a brand new paved sport court with football nets, basketball hoops and general all-round games.
**Park passes are not included in the rental fee. They are available for purchase at the reception desk.
The pool and all rentals, organized activities and the Show Bar at night, require passes for use.
Though 'officially' passes are required to use the facilities at all times, we've found the restaurants, fun arcade, soft play area and daytime show bar are open to everyone during the day. We've never seen park personnel checking passes or ID (but we just wanted to give you the heads-up in case it happens.) Passes are checked at the Entertainment Complex door after 5pm.
PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY:
We require a 50% deposit upon booking, with the balance due two weeks prior to your check-in date. Letters of confirmation with your booking dates, park name, and location of our caravan will be sent once the deposit has been received.
We offer a full refund if you must cancel up to one month prior to your holiday, and 50% refund if you cancel within the two weeks prior to your stay.
