Caravan Description
Spacious luxury caravan to let on Lower Hyde Holiday Park, Shanklin on the Isle of Wight.
It is carpeted throughout, has central heating, double glazing and insulation, a spacious bathroom with separate shower and a bath, and three bedrooms. The caravan is suitable for year round use.
In the lounge there is free standing furniture, gas fire, flat screen TV.
French windows lead on to an area of decking with table and chairs to take full advantage of its sunny, sheltered position.
Dining area seats 6.
The spacious, fully equipped kitchen with central island includes a gas cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and kettle.
There is one double bedroom and two twin rooms, each with single beds (no bunks).
The bathroom has a separate shower, full sized bath, wash basin and toilet. You will need to bring your own towels and toiletries.
You can access the caravan after 3pm and must vacate it by 10am on your day of departure. This gives the cleaner sufficient time to clean the van and change the bedding. Beds can be made up or left for you, depending on your preference.
Outside of school holidays the caravan can be booked for periods shorter than a week. Please email me with your request and I will let you know the price.

About the Area
The caravan is situated in a quiet spot on Lower Hyde Holiday Park, yet is just a 2 minutes walk from the main complex where wi-fi is available.We also have a resident badger who has built his sett at the back of the caravan. Lucky visitors see him either at dusk or early morning. Please be advised that the badger has protected status and no-one should interfere with him or his sett. Also seen on site are foxes, rabbits, red squirrels, bats, owls, woodpeckers etc.
Lower Hyde is a popular and well equipped woodland site with fantastic facilities. An entertainment complex provides shows, bingo, children's clubs, a bar and restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, a shop, arcade and launderette facilities. Sports courts and playgrounds can be found on site too.
An entertainment pass will be required to enable access to the park's facilities. This is not included in the hire cost, but available from Reception. The Park has not yet set the prices for 2023 passes but, for information only, the cost in 2022 was

Facilities at the neighbouring Languard site may also be enjoyed using the same pass.
There are many walks and cycle trails heading out from the Park, allowing you to explore the nearby countryside.
The lovely, sandy Shanklin beach is only a 25 minute walk away, where you will find excellent opportunities for all kinds of water sports, sunbathing, crazy golf and other entertainments.
Shanklin itself is a thriving, busy place with many excellent restaurants, cafes and pubs. There are a wide selection of shops and lots of activities going on. There is also a wonderful theatre in the heart of the town.
The Chine is a deep gorge running from the thatched houses of the Old Town down to the beach. Live music is a feature of many of the pubs and restaurants of the old town.
The Isle of Wight offers you a feast of interesting and exciting things to do including many and varied festivals, whatever your age.
The Island can be reached via 3 ferry routes using Red Funnel or Wightlink.
