Our mobile home is on the Siblu campsite of Le Lac des Reves, situated on the Mediterranean coast in the South of France.
We first went to Le Lac Des Reves in 1997 and fell in love with the scenery, culture and beautiful beaches. With 4 young children, the safe layout of the campsite and the space around the mobile homes and campsite made us the return the following year and buy our own mobile home. We have been back every year since.
To our family this is a second home and it's a real home from home. Therefore, there is everything you could possibly need in our mobile home to enhance your holiday.
Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, well away from the entrance to the campsite yet only a short walk from the pool and entertainment facilities.
Our mobile home is ideal for families with young children or those just looking for a peaceful retreat!
Adjoining the mobile home is a large, covered terrace for dining, relaxing or entertaining. There is also a patio and grassed garden area.
Inside there is a dining area and lounge area with an air conditioning and heating unit. There are full kitchen facilities including a full size gas cooker, microwave, two fridges and a freezer.
There are three bedrooms, one double, one twin/double, and a third twin. There is an additional double bed that folds out from under the lounge area seating.
The home has a bathroom with shower/half bath and wash basin. There is also a separate toilet room with wash basin.
Gas fired hot water and mains cold water is supplied throughout the mobile home.
The mobile home has both British and European sockets so you don't need those fiddly adapters.
For your enjoyment, within our mobile home there is a selection of board games, a PlayStation 2, and DVD player available for use, along with tennis racquets, boules etc. We also have 2 adult bikes and a BMX to use (bikes are also available for hire on site).
For your convenience, an ironing board and an iron are also provided for your use. There is also a large gas BBQ for those lovely warm evenings.

About the Area
The site is featured in the Siblu brochure where you can see photographs of the site, swimming pools and information on the local area. You can also see details of the similarly styled 3 bedroom mobile home whilst you are there just compare prices.
Shopping
There is a small shop on the site and a really good, small supermarket and bakery in the next village. Close by, there are two enormous hypermarkets, Auchan and Carrefour. There are numerous smaller shops selling clothes, luggage, sports, shoes jewellery and even a Toys R Us. There are lots of retail parks in the area; you'll be spoilt for choice. There are also market days held in the local villages/towns.
Places to Eat
The site has its own bar, restaurant and take-away. Monpellier itself has numerous restaurants, bistros and cafes. Sit in the street cafes of Place de la Comedie in the centre of the city with your glass of wine or beer and watch the musicians and street entertainers. Along the coast the fishing villages and town have an array of restaurants and take-aways. Palavas has its own tower with revolving restaurant, well worth the experience. 20 minutes away, the walled medieval town of Aigues Mortes offers some of the best restaurants around, specialising in Camargue food and live flamenco music; definitely one of our favourite places!
Leisure Activities
Many activities are organized on the site by Siblu. Out and about you can indulge in many others - the choice is really up to you.
The beaches that are too numerous to mention, are clean, safe and many have lifeguards, especially the town beaches.
Some of our other favourite places are: Pont du Gard with its beautiful Roman aqueduct for picnics and swimming, and Lac de Salagou, where you can swim, canoe, windsurf or just pedalo; Nimes with its fabulous Roman amphitheatre.
How to Get to There
We have tried many ways:
Cross channel - choice of ferry, hovercraft or tunnel. We prefer the tunnel, mainly for the speed of booking in and crossing. Then drive through France. Again we prefer the auto routes for speed. Driving in France really is a delight and you will be surprised what distances you can cover. With shared drivers it is perfectly possible to cover the whole distance in one day, although we do make an overnight stop if we are driving with the children.
Fly - there are regular cheap flights by Ryan Air from various UK airports including Leeds straight into Montpellier (5 minutes), or even Nimes which is only a 45 minute drive away, and Carcasonne about an hour and a half away
Train - personally we haven't tried this but we are getting good reports from our guests.
