A luxury 2012 model ABI St David, 36ft by 12ft, two bedrooms, 4 berth caravan in its own private plot on the premier caravan park Les Charmettes in south west France.
It has a large side terrace with awning, table that extends and chairs for 8, plus room for al fresco dining. All the side walls can be rolled up to allow air to circulate. The terrace has outside lighting and an electric bug blaster. The front balcony is perfect for taking breakfast and people watching or for sitting outside in the shade during hot afternoons. Inside it has air conditioning, an HD satellite receiver with UK/irish channels, and a 32 inch HD TV which also plays DVDs and CDs. There's a bluetooth speaker that can connect to your music.
The entire caravan is laid with vinyl flooring.
The fully fitted, modern kitchen includes a gas hob, oven, huge fridge/freezer and microwave oven. There's a multi purpose cooker, a slow cooker, many little gadgets and utensils including a thermostatically controlled butter dish!
The modern bathroom has a WC, hand basin and shower plus a towel warming radiator.
There is a large main bedroom with a king size double bed. There is room for a travel cot in main bedroom. The second bedroom has twin beds. Bedrooms have kick space electric fan heaters. There's a utility room off the main bedroom with a washing machine in it.
The lounge has a huge picture window at the front with access to a sun deck. Electric fire, luxury settees. There's a dining area with a table and 4 free standing chairs between the kitchen area and the lounge.
The caravan has a large, private, enclosed garden combining sun and shade with a luxurious artificial lawn and a flagged area for sun loungers or BBQ and the shed has 2 adult bikes for you to use. There are boules inside the caravan.
It truly is a luxury model with modern fittings and much more space. All plug sockets are English so your gadgets will work. There's wifi available sitting in your own caravan (at an extra cost). All windows are double glazed. All have curtains and some have blinds.
We are plot 764. If you go to Google Maps and search for 764 Camping Les Charmettes it will show you the exact location on the site. This is a circle without a through road so the children can play safely. There's a children's playground only 30m away and there are tennis courts nearby. It's about a 5 minute walk to the complex in the centre of the site with bars, restaurants, supermarket and activities.
This caravan has mains gas, water and electricity. This means the hot water will never go off when the gas bottle runs out as it's permanently online; you'll never again have to change a gas bottle. The circle also has more owner occupiers so there will be more and friendlier people.
Please note that all persons require a “fun pass” in order to be able to access many of the facilities and entertainments on the park. The passes in 2018 cost €36 per week for each adult and €18 for children (aged 4-17) if ordered online. Children under 4 do not require passes. For the first three bookings of two weeks or more in peak season we will provide two free adult passes for the whole stay.
Contact the owners directly to book or ask any questions.. We require a non-returnable deposit to secure your booking and then a 2 further payments - one 4 months before your holiday and the other 2 months before your holiday. In addition, we require a bond, which will be refunded in full after your holiday, provided no damage has occurred and no cleaning is necessary. On receipt of your final payment we will send you details relating to your arrival (keys, barrier code, directions etc).

About the Area
Les Charmettes is most definitely the flagship holiday park in Charente Maritime and a firm favourite with the British and Irish. It’s all about 4 star facilities and services in a bustling seaside town. At the heart there is the huge pool complex, which includes an indoor pool and spa bath, several outdoor pools, slides, fountains and an aqua splash zone. Nightly entertainment in the spectacular indoor and outdoor entertainment venues are sure to please all ages.The nice surprise at this big caravan holiday park is that most of the mobile homes are laid out in star shapes surrounded by shrubbery and bushes for a private and peaceful family holiday or home from home. The rolling waves of the Atlantic and endless activities are all just a bike ride or short drive away.
The site is in the village of Les Mathes in the Charente Maritime region of South West France. It’s a short bike ride to the town of La Palmyre with shops and beaches. Royan is a short drive away with all the amenities of a city.
Les Charmettes has many facilities including a superb pool complex, a night club, petanque, basketball, football, archery, mini golf, children's clubs and is only a few miles from great beaches. If you're reading this advert you probably know quite a lot about it. It's as good as you think it is. The park is the Rolls Royce of holiday parks and is proud of its reputation. It is perfect for families with children but some owners are older (like us) and look after their caravans treating them as second homes at the beginning and the end of the season, renting them out for summer.
The water park with its newly upgraded pools, slides and entertainment is top quality. Not forgetting kids clubs, tennis courts, gym, boules, crazy golf, bike hire, table- tennis, archery, pool tables, bar, restaurant, take-away food outlets, theatre and entertainment team all provide activities for everyone. The park now has a new well-stocked supermarket. If you want to play golf there are plenty of courses in the region (ask us about Golfy which is a discount card for golfers). There's one full set of clubs in the caravan you can use.
As well as the facilities on site there are many places of interest nearby. Charente has castles, chateaux, markets and flea markets, exhibitions, festivals, live music, sports events and much more. Towns such as Saintes and Rochefort have many attractions and places to visit and Spain is not far away (include an overnight stay in San Sebastian); the Dordogne is a day's drive; Bordeaux and its vineyards are easily reached. La Rochelle is a nice day trip with its large aquarium. In addition to all these "big" towns there are plenty of smaller villages with museums, craft shops, oyster stalls, salt shops and much more. There are many brochures in the caravan about local places of interest.
There are regular festivals and cultural events nearby. Royan has frisbee world championships and sand castle championships. All this in addition to the sunshine and good food and wine...
