Caravan Description
Our mobile home for hire on Les Amiaux, is fully equipped. It has plenty of storage space, together with everything you will need in regards to crockery and cooking utensils, along with a gas cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, toaster and electric kettle, plus a TV/DVD player.
There are two bedrooms; a double room and a twin room, which comfortably sleeps four people, but can sleep 6 by using the pull-out bed in the lounge area.
There is a shower room with wash-basin and a separate toilet. There are also site wash rooms/showers located very close to the mobile.
Our mobile Home is located on the side of the site where the indoor swimming pool, basketball, tennis and table tennis is sited.
It is on a good size plot with hedges on 3 sides, providing privacy when relaxing outside. We have garden furniture for your use, a gazebo, four sun loungers, a table and chairs, parasol and a gas BBQ. There is also parking in front of the mobile home plus the use of 2 bikes.
Duvets and pillows are provided, but you will need to provide your own linen (duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases, towels, tea towels etc.). Alternatively, our hosts provide a limited linen service at a charge if required, but this must be pre-booked.
An inventory is available on request.
We have 'hosts' to welcome you on your arrival, who will also provide support if required during your stay.
Basic cleaning products are left at the mobile home, but items such as washing-up liquid are available in the camp shop or the local supermarkets a short drive away.
We require our guests to keep the property clean and leave it ready for next occupants. Our on-site hosts will check the home on your departure.

About the Area
Les Amiaux is a lovely 4* camping site set in a 30-acre park behind a forest, in the Vendee area of France. The site is located a short distance from St Jean-de-Monts, close enough to enjoy the weekly markets (Wednesday and Saturday) and have access to the local supermarkets. There lots of restaurants between the campsite and St Jean-de-Monts, with others available in town.Les Amiaux reception is open every day. During low season (May, June and September) it is open from 9am to 12 noon and 2pm to 6pm. During high season (July and August) it is open from 9am to 8pm. English is spoken and there are safes for valuables. For security, the site gates are closed to vehicles from 11pm to 7am. There is parking available outside the security barrier for those wishing to stay out late.
A half mile woodland walk leads to a wide sandy beach, which is very safe for children. There are parking areas available along the coast giving access to the beaches, of which there are approximately 5 miles worth.
Fresh bread and pastries are available daily from the site shop. On site facilities include a licensed bar and restaurant offering good food and entertainment. Wi-Fi is also available on site, but this is a paid for service available from reception.
Les Amiaux provides excellent facilities: there are indoor and outdoor swimming pools with water chutes. Both pools are solar heated. The indoor pool also has a Jacuzzi and the outdoor pool has plenty of sun loungers. There is also a splash pool for younger children and the main outdoor pool now provides disabled access. Also on site are tennis, football, volleyball, snooker, table tennis and of course pétanque. All are free except for pétanque. You can also hire bikes on site and try out the many cycle tracks in the area. Bike hire is available through reception although we provide bikes for your use. There is also an onsite laundry. There is a kids' club for 6 to 12 year olds. Activities are free, with a limited number of places. This site is an ideal destination for families and couples, offering a relaxing safe holiday with plenty to do and see in the surrounding areas. We liked it so much we purchased the caravans and are looking forward to spending our summers relaxing.
Venturing off the Park, the area provides opportunities for cycling; walking; horse riding, crazy golf; so many to choose from, there is lots of information available in the Site Reception office.
Nearby is the town of St Jean de Monts and with a beautiful 4 mile sandy beach. There are also many lovely little towns and villages within easy reach of Les Amiaux and we thoroughly recommend visiting the markets during your stay.
Other local attractions include Notre Dame, which has a water tower to climb with superb views; the Ile de Yeu (accessible by boat); the Ile de Noirmoutier; St Gille de Croix La Vie (lively fishing port with a good selection of shops and markets); Les Sable d'Olonne and there are chateaux to explore at Apremont and Pornic. Nantes is also a good place to visit if you miss big town life, shops and restaurants. There is an animal reserve at Planète Sauvage and a historical theme park at Puy du Fou.
