Caravan Description

Our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom mobile home is situated in a large secluded corner in the much sought after 600's area of the park, yet is within easy reach of the site's amenities.

There is a double bedroom with en suite facilities situated at one end of the mobile home, with two twin bedrooms, a shower room and WC at the other end. The living, kitchen & dining area is in the centre, with double doors out onto the covered deck area fully equipped for al-fresco dining.

Duvets and pillows are provided for all the beds but you will need to bring your own bed linen and towels.

The kitchen is equipped with gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and all the essentials you would expect to find in your kitchen at home. In the living area there is a flat screen TV with Freesat connected, a DVD player with a selection of DVDs. There is also a selection of books & games. A washing machine is located in the WC with outside washing line to the rear.

Step out of the living area onto a fully covered veranda (awning can be pulled back with entrance front & back) with rattan sofas, stools and dining table. There is a large enclosed grassy area with 2 x sun loungers along with a small private patio area to the rear with table and chairs. A gas BBQ is provided too.

At the front of the caravan is parking for two cars and a bike rack (bicycles are provided but must be checked thoroughly and can only be used at your own risk).

Location

At Le Bois Dormant the facilities offered include: Pool complex including indoor, outdoor and baby pools as well as slides. There are always lifeguards in attendance; 3 children's clubs to accommodate different ages, Table tennis tables, multi sport court for football, basketball, etc; Evening entertainment for all the family; Sight shop; Bar and takeaway.

Across the road is Le Bois Masson whose facilities also include another pool complex, fitness centre, Bar and restaurant.

All the facilities are available to use with fun passes direct from Siblu and these can easily be purchased prior to your stay.

St Jean De Monts

The centre is very typically French with quaint shops and cafes. There is also a market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. The beach offers more lively cafes and restaurants with miles of sandy beach, shallow waters ideal for paddling or for the more experienced swimmer a beautiful tidal coast. Running alongside the beach is a promenade with cycle path and separate walkway - dotted along the way you can stop on seats and admire the beautiful view.

On the outskirts and not far from the site is a well stocked Super U and Lidl. Pine forests with paths running through surround the area and for those of you wishing to burn off the excess of the beautiful French breads, cheeses and croissants why not enjoy cycling, jogging or just a family stroll where you can keep a look out for the red squirrels and other wildlife.

The Vendee offers a micro climate ideal for those not wanting the baking sun of the Mediterranean but with a low average rainfall. The whole coast stretches for miles and is dotted with numerous towns and villages all of which has something to offer and would be well worth a visit.

Two of our favourite are: The island of Noirmoutier which is now accessible via a road bridge although twice a day you can still cross the old fashioned way over the causeway (check to see low tide times). It also offers an array of restaurants and shops along with a water park loved by our children. St Gilles is a beautiful port not far away and it's lovely to sit with coffee and watch the boats go by.

For the more active of you there are also two Go Ape type parks. Explora park is on the outskirts of St Jean De Monts and not far away is Feeling Forest. With runs ranging from very easy to quite tricky they are suitable for all ages.

Please note we have allocated the check in/out day in the peak season to a Sunday. This is due to Saturday being a changeover day for France. The traffic throughout France is extremely busy & the reception & front entrance to Le Bois Dormant chaotic at best. We thought this would make life a little calmer for our guests.
