Where the forest sweeps down to the sea – this is our holiday home!

Nestled on the residential forest site of the private, 5 star Bois Soleil Park at St Georges de Didonne, our traditional, comfortable mobile home has all you need to spend the holiday of your dreams - and it's only a very short walk from the exquisite beaches of St Georges de Didonne (near Royan). There's also a fabulous myriad of places to visit within easy driving distance.

Our mobile home, set at the end of a quiet, peaceful cul-de-sac with no passing traffic (whilst providing ample parking for your vehicle), comprises:

Two bedrooms - 1 with double bed, dressing table, wardrobe, overhead cupboards and bedside shelves. The other with 2 single beds and the option of a bunk-bed plus wardrobe and bedside cabinet.

Comfortable lounge with ample seating, cupboards, sideboard and glass cabinet, along with English (& French) satellite TV and a dining area with table and bench seats.

Shower room with toilet and wash basin.

Fully equipped kitchenette fitted with ample cupboards, sink and drainer, microwave, fridge, gas cooker with grill, oven and 4 hobs.

Gas, electricity and water are included in the hire price.

Towels, tea towels, duvet covers, sheets and pillow cases are NOT provided.

Why not think of a trip to St Georges in June! Beautiful blue skies, wonderful temperatures and plenty of room on the beaches! Also consider the PRICES - shops, restaurants, markets, etc all reflect the attraction of going "out of season!" It really is one of the best times to visit and share the "au naturel" experience.

'LOW" season price of only £295 per week..

Prices quoted are for 4 people, with an additional person incurring a supplement of £5 per night.

Please Note: During high season there is a minimal tourist tax payable by the renter direct to the site office, which is a standard tax levied by all holiday sites during the peak months, usually approximately €0.70 per person per day of your stay.

About the Area

The residential forest site provides a calm, quiet ambiance. Listen to the surf as you lie in bed at night, and the forest birds as you wake up in the morning. Our location on Bois Soleil Park is probably the sunniest spot on the site, so outside we have provided a large gazebo to give maximum shade, a large sun umbrella with heavy stand, plus sun loungers. For your al-fresco dining an ample dining table and chairs are also provided.

Nearby is the excellent free residents’ on-site shower block (with handicap facilities). This block also incorporates washing machines, dryers and ironing facilities (tokens purchased at the office).

Included in our offer is full access to the amenities of the whole site which include a heated outdoor swimming pool, paddling pool for -7’s, bar, restaurant, supermarket, trampolines, clubs for children and adolescents, table tennis, tennis, games rooms, games areas, toddler’s pool and a Boules park, plus lots of organised activities and health and fitness.

Important – Please note: French Law stipulates that only tight-fitting swimming-trunks (Budgie-smugglers) may be worn in any swimming pool. Shorts of any kind are forbidden in the water and, if worn, you will be asked to leave the pool by the life-guards.

Bicycles (some electric) are available for hire on the site. Remember to bring a backpack to carry your lunch as you also enjoy the wonderful coastal walks!

Bois Soleil is just a very short drive/cycle-ride from Royan; a gorgeous sea-side town with a must-visit market. Ferries sail from Royan over the estuary to the Medoc wine region where you can sample the wonderful wines (take your car over to bring back your favourite vintages).

Bordeaux is an hour’s drive south too, and well-worth a visit (wonderful shopping!).

Talmont is an incredibly well-preserved medieval, fortified town and only 15 minutes away by car. Meschers (a lovely fishing village with restaurants etc.) is on the way there (or can be reached by the headland walk).

St Georges de Didonne was a site of the German Atlantic sea defences during the war and many remains of these fortifications still exist just a few hundred metres from the campsite. They are freely available to visit – and not forgetting that the “Cockleshell Heroes” set out from St Georges to mine the ships at Bordeaux (a monument has been erected on the headland). For the adventurous, Acrobranching is available just at the side of the local beach. St Georges itself is a very pretty little town with lots of interesting shops, cafes and restaurants.
