About the Area
Pendine Sands Holiday Park is set by seven miles of glorious beach. The park is a 4 star site and also has a David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation.
Our caravan is sited in a cul-de-sac on level ground at Dukes Meadow. The Duck Inn, with Sky sports and a sun deck area overlooking the children's playground, is only a few minutes walk away.
The main entertainment complex, The Sands, is nearby and hosts nightly cabaret acts as well as other varied entertainment. There are kids' clubs for all ages and a heated swimming pool. Access to The Sands is by application at the site's main office for a small fee.
Local Area
Pendine is an unspoilt village situated between Carmarthen and Pembroke where there are unlimited attractions to suit all tastes. Oakwood Park is a theme park which has some superb high-thrill rides, and Folly Farm is a wonderful day out for all ages where there is plenty to do even if the weather isn't too good. In addition to these there are other outdoor pursuit centres for horse riding, paint balling, karting and themed parks such as Tenby's Dinosaur Park, a chocolate making factory and Wild Welsh Zoo (owned by Anna Ryder Richardson).
There are also many castles and National Trust places to visit as well as manor houses and museums, including Dylan Thomas' Boat House in Laugharne and Pendine's own museum of speed where Parry Thomas' car, Babs, is displayed, is a must for all racing enthusiasts.
Pendine offers a small selection of shops, pubs, cafes and a restaurant. There is also a launderette. The main attraction is the wonderful 7 mile beach where you will find rock pools galore. Kayaking, fishing and kiting are a few of the hobbies you can enjoy. There are wonderful scenic walks and drives in the area.
So, if you want an action packed holiday or a quiet relaxing break, Pendine is the place to visit.
