About the Area
The Kiln Park Holiday Centre has an on-site shop, and there’s also a small shop in the petrol station at the Park entrance. One of Tenby's four beaches (South Beach) is a short walk from the shop - just follow the signs. Next to the on-site is a launderette.EV chargers are available in the car park near to the shop.
On Kiln Park itself there’s the Harbwr Lights entertainment complex, which includes a games arcade, bar, restaurant, indoor swimming pool and entertainment venues.
Some of the on-site facilities require the purchase of a "Play Pass" from Haven Holidays, either online via a link provided when your arrival is registered, or on site from the main reception area. Please note that owners are not permitted to provide Play Passes for private rental guests.
Elsewhere on site, all within walking distance, is a variety of outdoor activities, including an outdoor swimming pool which is open from the Easter school holiday period through to the end of the summer season.
Off site, is Tenby Leisure Centre, which offers a variety of facilities, including a swimming pool and exercise facilities (check out their website for further details).
To get into Tenby town, you can either walk along South Beach (quite long!!!) or use the path by the Golf Club (a fairly long walk). Other ways to walk to town include taking the path from Tern, along the road between Cormorant and Ramsey, turn left through Sandmartin Court and then following the path to the Salterns car park. In the Salterns car park there's a bus stop and during the summer school holidays (July to September, exact dates may vary) a FREE park and ride service is in operation between 11am and 6pm between the car park and the town centre, dropping off and picking up from South Parade, near to the Five Arches. The bus runs every 15 minutes. The bus stop is located next to the Tenby Brewing Company, which offers a Tap Yard eating area between April and September on Friday and Saturday evenings.
When the bus service isn't running, you can walk out of the car park along the pavement to The Green car park. As you reach the car park, turn right and cross the stream using the bridge, emerging on to Park Road. Walk up the hill under the railway bridge - it's a fairly long walk so not one to be underestimated! You'll pass by Sainsbury's, the bus station, the multi-storey car park and the Park Road fish and chip shop and you're pretty much at the Five Arches, the ancient entrance to the town centre.
If you choose to drive up to town, parking is available in few car parks, but on-road parking is quite limited. The multi-storey car park on Park Road has short stay (up to 2 hours) on the ground floor and longer term parking on the upper floors. EV charging points are available in this car park.
There's a selection of shops in and around Tenby, plus many restaurants, pubs and clubs to cater for all tastes.
The rest of Pembrokeshire and all it has to offer, is a short drive away, including theme parks and historical sites, such as Heatherton World of Activities, Manor Wildlife Park, Carew Castle and Carew Cheriton RAF Museum - too many to list here!
There's no reason to be bored, even when the weather isn't the best.
