Caravan Description

New in June 2021, our luxury caravan at Butlin’s Resort Minehead is ideally located on the Lakeside Caravan Park at Coral Cove. It sits in a peaceful location next to the fishing lake and is just a 3 minute walk from The Highwayman pub (family friendly venue) serving hot and cold snacks.

Just a ten minute walk away is the main Butlin’s Skyline Pavilion, with the usual amenities. All entertainment passes are included in your break and caravan guests can use all the facilities on the park. Unfortunately, you will not be able to pre-book shows from the Butlin’s app as this is only for their guests staying in their accommodation.

Butlin’s have 3 venues - Reds, Studio 36 and Centre Stage and there is a non-booked queuing system in place for Studio 36 and Centre Stage. These venues are very large and can accommodate a lot of people and Butlin’s have limited pre-booking to 75% of capacity, so getting in isn't generally a problem. However, during particularly busy times and school holidays we advise you to arrive early to avoid disappointment. Reds is free-flow, as is the swimming pool, and all guests can come and go as they please.

Double glazed and central heated throughout, the caravan also has an electric fire in the lounge area, along with a TV, DVD player and a selection of DVDs and family games. A large decking area is attached, with seating, plus additional bench seating on the immediate, adjacent grass area.

The fully equipped kitchen includes an integrated microwave, fridge/freezer, gas oven/hob, toaster, kettle etc.

The three bedrooms comprise a one double and two twin bedded rooms. The double bedroom has a TV, and all bedrooms have double sockets with integrated USB ports, plus a full length wardrobe. The bedrooms are fully heated and all beds have mattress and pillow protectors. There is a further pull-out double bed in the lounge area, making capacity of up to 8 guests.

An optional bed linen service to supply and fit bedding prior to your arrival, can also be arranged for a small additional fee of £30 - please contact us prior to arrival. You will need to bring your own towels, dish cloths, toiletries, etc.

The family shower room has a shower, toilet and wash basin, whilst the additional WC room has a hand basin.

There is a reserved parking space for your vehicle in front of the caravan.

Out & About

Venturing outside of Butlin’s Resort, lies the pretty English seaside resort of Minehead. Alongside its picturesque beach and promenade lie a host of stores, tea shops, ice cream parlours, restaurants, bars and cafés.

Shopping wise, there are several supermarkets very close by (seen just before you approach the Butlin’s resort), catering for all needs.

For golfing enthusiasts, the Minehead & West Somerset Golf Course is directly adjacent to the caravan park and offers discounted rates for guests (please enquire with the club).

The medieval village and castle of Dunster is just 5 minutes away, which features a beautiful castle and picturesque village; well worth a visit.

The West Somerset Steam Railway offers a great family day out and is only a quarter of a mile away.

A £75.00 non refundable deposit is required to secure your booking with full balance due 8 weeks before the start of your break.

We take a £100 damage/excess cleaning bond on every break which is returned if no damages caused. For adult weekends we require £200 damage bond with a maximum of 6 people.

Some Adult breaks require tickets at extra charge.

All just for tots breaks you must have at least one child aged 5 or under in your party. On these Just for tots breaks all entertainment finishes approx 9pm.

Caravan guests have use of The Highwayman Pub, which has daily activities and entertainment, please check at the venue for details.

Please be respectful of our neighbours, Butlins do have the right to remove from site anyone that is not abiding by the camp rules without refunding your holiday.

Sorry, pets are not permitted in the caravan.

Once a booking has been put through with Butlins you will receive your email confirmation from them. If any amendments need to be made after a booking has been put through, Butlins charge a £25 admin fee to do this.

Check in is at 4pm at the hub in the Highwayman pub, unless you have paid for an earlier check-in time, you can access the site via the east entrance from 1pm, and park at Coral Cove. I will give you the code for the barrier on processing of your booking.. Keys to the caravan will be issued together with passes and the welcome pack. Please do not attempt to enter the caravan before your check in time, as security may ask you to leave.

Only one vehicle can be registered to park on the Caravan Park. All second vehicles must be parked in the (secure), East Gate Car Park. You can drive a second car onto the caravan park to unload your baggage, then return to the east gate car park if required.

The caravan should be vacated by 10am on departure day to enable the van to be cleaned before the next guests. Please ensure that you take all your belongings with you and leave the caravan in a tidy condition. All waste food and drink should be removed from the caravan and the heating turned to off. Rubbish and recycling must be disposed of in the bin compounds provided around the caravan park.

Please do not dispose of any items i.e. wet wipes, nappies, sanitary towels, clothing and any other non disposable items by flushing down the toilet in the caravan. This unfortunately leads to the backing-up of the caravan park sewerage system and inconvenience to users.

The lead name on the booking form is responsible for all guests in the caravan. In all instances of major damage the police will be informed and a crime reference number obtained. In all cases of lost keys, fouling of the carpets, bedding etc then the cost of repair/replacement/additional cleaning will be deducted from the damage bond.

All adult guests MUST be on the electoral role or Butlins reserve the right to decline the booking. As per Butlins rules there must be some over 25's in the caravan on all adult only breaks.

SMOKING AND VAPING IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE CARAVAN, AT THE DOOR, WINDOWS OR ON THE DECKING. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN YOU BEING ASKED TO LEAVE AND NO REFUND GIVEN. THE DAMAGE BOND WILL ALSO BE KEPT.

The use of fireworks is strictly prohibited on the park.

Butlins operate an open water policy whereby all children must be supervised by an adult at all times around open water and under no circumstances go swimming in lakes, ponds or moats.

Should you arrive at the caravan and find any damage or cleaning issues you must notify us immediately on 07789096463 or you will be held responsible. Any problems arising whilst at the caravan should also be notified whilst there to enable us to have someone come to the caravan to check and rectify. We will not respond to any issues once you have returned home if not notified to us whilst there.



Quilts and pillows are provided with protectors on. This is for protection of the bedding only and the covers are not removed after each let. We therefore ask that you bring your own duvet covers, sheets and pillowcases to put on over the ones already supplied. Should any of our covers be removed then you will be charged for replacements. We ask that should the bedding be soiled during your stay that you notify us and leave the soiled bedding in the caravan for our cleaners to remove.

You will need to bring your own quilt covers/pillow cases/bottom sheets/towels/tea towels etc.

Each confirmation letter will state the date that the deposit and balance should be paid by. In all cases the holiday will be re-advertised should payment not be received by the dates stated. The balance of all breaks will be payable 8 weeks before departure. If the break is booked with less than 8 weeks before the start date then the balance will be payable by the date stated on the confirmation letter. The deposit is non-refundable.

Should Butlins be closed for your break for whatever reason, then the date will be rescheduled or refunded.

We strongly recommend that you take out private/personal travel insurance for any circumstances that are out of our control. We do not take responsibility for any loss or damage to personal items within the caravan. The caravan should be kept locked at all times when not occupied and during the night.

Butlins reserve the right to change any advertised entertainment and we cannot take any responsibility for this. If the resort unfortunately closes suddenly during your break no compensation is offered by us or Butlins.
