Caravan Description

Spacious two bedroom holiday caravan to let on Thorness Bay Holiday Park, offering a good size, lockable decking to sit and relax on, complete with table and chairs.

Within our holiday caravan at Thorness Bay Holiday Park, you will find a TV/DVD player, DVDs, radio, board games, games, books and some children's toys.

There is large U-shaped seating in the main room, complete with a dining area. There is a gas fire too, but I have two electric convectors which I would prefer you to use. A foldaway seat for a baby/toddler is also available.

Within our well-equipped kitchen is a full gas oven/hob, a microwave, toaster, good sized fridge with freezer compartment, slow cooker and plenty of cupboard/storage space. It is equipped with everything you may need, including cutlery, crockery, utensils, pots, pans, oven trays, dishes, plastic boxes and insulated bags for food and picnics. Plastic plates are available for children if needed.

The main bedroom has a double bed, two wardrobes, dressing table area and a low cupboard with further storage underneath and on top, plus a new electric wall heater. It also has its own toilet with hand-wash basin.

The second bedroom has two single beds, wardrobe. Electric wall heater.

A travel cot is available too.

The good size bathroom has a shower, toilet, wash hand basin, electric heated towel rail and storage area.

The caravan also has an area for coats etc., which is by the bedrooms and second outside door and steps.

Bottled gas runs the shower and oven and hob.

Location

Thorness Bay Holiday Park is located on the stunning Isle of Wight. On site facilities include an entertainment complex with a swimming pool that has a separate area for the little ones; a playground complex with a large picnic area; a food area in complex with inside and outside seating, with beautiful views over the Solent; shop and takeaway food near the complex; plus a launderette.

Thorness has a car free beach a few minutes’ walk from the Park.

Deliveries can be arranged from Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Morrisons and Tesco, direct to the caravan.

Thorness Bay Holiday Park is situated a short distance from Cowes, renowned for its sailing and highly recommended restaurants, coffee shops and selection of high end shops mixed in with individual shops. There are pubs and places to eat, sit and watch the yachts and boats on the river too, along with a waterfront area and beach. There is also a fast passenger ferry to Southampton from Cowes too as well as a vehicle/passenger ferry connecting Cowes and East Cowes.

East Cowes, across the river from Cowes, has a Waitose, shops, museum, seafront, children's outdoor pool (summer) ad a playground. It is also home to Osborne House, the home of Queen Victoria. There is a Heritage walk around the area that is easy to follow too. The car ferry from Southampton arrives here and is about a 15 minute drive from Thorness Bay Holiday Park.

Yarmouth is not far from the caravan. Here you will find the Yarmouth to Lymington car/ passenger ferry.

There is a car/passenger ferry from Fishbourne to Portsmouth too, which is roughly 20 minutes from Thorness Bay Holiday Park.

Old Shanklin, with its thatched buildings, is worth visiting, as is Ryde, Sandown, Bembridge, St. Helen's, Seaview, Niton, Freshwater and Compton Bay.

Other places worth a visit include the Donkey Sanctuary, Robin Hill, Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle, Tapnell Farm (with its soft play, indoor and outdoor areas), Amazon World, Wild at Heart Zoo, The Needles, Black Chine, Monkey World, Godshill, Model Village, Quarr Abbey, and the garlic farm, to name just a few.

The Isle of Wight boasts beaches all around the Island and offers lots to do and see, if you want to of course. Or you can just sit and relax wherever you choose.
