Caravan Description
This pet friendly, extra wide caravan benefits from having double glazing and central heating and sea views situated at Parkdean Resorts’ Thorness Bay Holiday Park in Cowes, Isle of Wight.
The seating in the lounge is enough to accommodate the whole family, with views from the window looking down to the sea. I have provided a selection of DVDs & books for both adults and children and a selection of toys & board games.
Fully fitted kitchen that has a full size oven and fridge freezer and a generous amount of cupboard space.
It has two bedrooms - the main bedroom is a double, but is extra wide with a king size bed. Has a large wardrobe and large cupboard space, a dressing table and an en-suite toilet and washbasin. The twin room has twin beds and a wardrobe. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge, so 6 guests can comfortably be accommodated. All linen is supplied including bath sheets, hand towels and tea towels. The crockery etc has been tastefully chosen and reflects the superb quality of the accommodation.
The family bathroom has a good size walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet.
Outside there is a gated decking with steps leading up to the caravan, decking to the front looking out to the sea. I have provided a table and chairs to enjoy the view and sunshine. The car parking is very close to the caravan.
A selection of cleaning materials, washing up liquid etc is also supplied.
Well behaved dogs are allowed.
Ferry crossing can be arranged £55 return out of season. £70 return peak rate subject to availability
Location
On site there is an entertainment complex with lots to do for children and adults, evening entertainment often includes some quite famous acts and the children will love Sparkle the rabbit, Narky, Pip Squeak and lots more. There is a heated indoor swimming pool including a small pool for the little ones. Very popular restaurant which has a very good selection of food to choose from, including a children’s menu. The well-stocked shop and fish & chip shop are within walking distance of the caravan.
Thorness Bay has its own beach and it’s a lovely walk down to it, cars are not permitted to drive to the beach so it’s safe for the children and dogs. There are also beautiful country walks from the site.
As for the island itself, well what can I say? It’s such a beautiful island. My mother’s family were all born on the island and my great great grandmother was one of the first midwives in Freshwater Bay, so I am slightly biased, but it’s such a peaceful place with lots to do.
Blackgang Chine – The Land of Imagination is a must for the children and Carisbrooke Castle is a just a short drive away.
The Isle of Wight Steam Railway is a wonderful trip back in time.
Osborne House, the family home of Queen Victoria & Prince Albert is an amazing place and you can walk down to what was her private beach and have a drink sitting watching the sea.
Tapnell Farm, Monkey Haven, IOW donkey sanctuary, Haven Falconry and West Wight Alpacas are just a few more of the many places you have to visit.
There are several pubs nearby (you will need to drive) most are family and dog friendly.
Newport is the main town on the island and has all the shops such as Marks and Spencer’s, Morrisons, Boots, Sainsbury’s just a 5 minute drive away and many more.
