Chalet Description
Sunset and Sundown are our two purpose-built, two bedroom holiday chalets located next door to each other on the quiet Sandown Bay Holiday Centre on the outskirts of Sandown on the Isle of Wight.
Both of our holiday chalets on Sandown Bay Holiday Centre are privately owned by us, and in our opinion share the best location on site with their elevated, yet sheltered and sunny position offering far-reaching views.
As their names suggest, the sunsets can be spectacular, whether viewed from inside or outside.
PLEASE NOTE :- Sandown Bay Holiday Centre is for short term holiday lets only due to planning and lease restrictions.
Unfortunately any other enquiries will no longer be answered.
As with all the chalets on the site both properties design may not be suitable if any in your party have any disabilities or mobility needs. Feel free to contact us with any concerns before booking.
127 Sundown
This four berth holiday chalet has two bedrooms; one double and one bunk bedroom.
The kitchen is fully self-contained and includes an cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle and all the utensils you may need. There is also a breakfast bar.
The lounge has comfortable seating and a flat screen TV, which will connect to the free Wi-Fi via an amazon fire stick.
The bathroom is fully tiled and has an electric shower, wash basin and toilet.
Outside is a lovely seating area from which to enjoy the far-reaching views, particularly when the sun goes down, with a glass of something refreshing or something to warm you up.
Sundown also has a thermostatically controlled heating system, so is ideal for those early/late season breaks. It is also more private with its colonial blinds.
Generally, we would say that Sundown is suited for a family with younger children or couples.
128 Sunset
This is also a four berth holiday chalet with two bedrooms; one double and one bunk bedroom. The main double bedroom also has a small, wall-mounted TV/DVD player.
Sunset offers a larger lounge and dining area than Sundown, and benefits from having patio doors leading out to a now enclosed and gated decking area. Within the lounge you will find comfortable seating and a flat screen smart TV, which will connect to the free Wi-Fi.
The kitchen is fully self-contained and includes an oven/hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and all the utensils you may need. There is also a dining table that seats 4.
The bathroom is fully tiled and has an electric shower, wash basin and toilet.
Outside is a nice decking area and seating area, so you can enjoy the far-reaching views with a nice tipple or a good old cup of tea.
Electric heating is provided.
Given the larger lounge and dining area of Sunset, coupled with the accessible decking area, it may be more suited to a family with young or older children.
So, depending on availability and preferences - which one would you choose?
