The lodge is situated within beautiful countryside and offers a secluded and tranquil location. As seen on the photos, there is a balcony with table and chairs. One side faces the trees where you can relax with a drink and look out for the park’s residential red squirrels as they come to our feeder boxes. The only noise in the early evening is the distant sound of cows, sheep and/or horses, along with the hourly whistle of the steam train. Havenstreet Station is just around the corner, so why not jump on a steam train and see the Island.
Roebeck Country Park is situated just outside Ryde, which is known as ‘The gateway to the island’. It is a family owned and operated Park that has the advantage of being just a 5 minute drive from Ryde’s large sandy beach, yet far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of the Islands largest ‘town on the beach’.
Ryde itself has numerous cafés and restaurants and there is plenty to explore.
On the Park are 2 stocked, small lakes where guests are more than welcome to fish.
Don’t panic about supplies as the Island’s massive Tesco is only 5 minutes away by car.
