Lodge Description
Hello and welcome to Acorn Lodge, a spacious traditional log cabin situated on the edge of the New Forest and just a 10 minute walk to the unspoilt beaches of Milford on Sea and Barton on Sea with beautiful views across to the Isle of Wight. Acorn Lodge is situated at the 5 star Shorefield Country Park in a prime position at the bottom of a quiet cul-de-sac with only 4 other lodges and just a few minutes walk through to the woodland path to the amenities.
The accommodation consists of the following:
A flat hard-standing area directly in front of the lodge with allocated parking for 2 cars. Three small steps lead up to an enclosed decking area with railings so it is safe for children to be able to play outside or for you to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sunshine. There is a table and chairs on the decking area and cushions for the larger chairs are under the single bed in the second bedroom. All we ask is that you put them back on departure or if you are going out for the day and it looks like it may rain.
Inside the lounge has a gas fire making it very cosy in the winter evenings. There is a 2 seater sofa, a single chair and a footstool. Two double doors open up onto the decking area making it lovely and cool in the hot summer months. There is a Smart TV and bluetooth speaker to keep you entertained. There is also a dining table and 4 chairs for your use. You will find an extensive information booklet with lots of useful ideas of days out and places to eat etc.
The kitchen is very well equipped and has a DAB radio, washing machine, fridge freezer, gas cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, iron and ironing board, all crockery, cutlery and glasses. You will also be provided with essential items such as washing up liquid, tea towels, tea, coffee and sugar.
In the inner hallway we have a bookcase with various books, toys, games, playing cards and puzzles to keep the children and adults alike entertained during the evenings. In the cupboard in the main bathroom there are also a few crab lines and a net should you wish to go and experience the wonderful crabbing at Mudeford Quay.
Bedroom one is very cosy and offers a double bed, bedside tables with lights, a dressing table, and a double wardrobe. It also benefits from having its own en-suite, with a large walk-in shower cubicle, washbasin, toilet and heated towel rail.
Bedroom two has two single beds, a bedside table, reading lights, a fitted wardrobe and a small dressing table area.
