The heart of the New Forest is only a very short 5-10 min drive as you leave the holiday park, loads of things/activities to see and do around the New Forest or just park up (loads of lay-bys &/or dedicated car parks) and walk in to the woods, which is lovely during Spring, Autumn or Winter months.

Old Christchurch & Christchurch Quay is great for a visit, plenty of shops, cafes, bars, pubs and there’s even a theatre in Old Christchurch, then take a walk along the river and stop off at the Christchurch Priory an 11h Century Church!! With its own museum, then continue on down to Christchurch Quay, a great place to take a picnic, with a well maintained open air children's paddling/fun pool set in an open park, running alongside the River Stour, great for watching the rich & famous sail past in their luxury yachts...

Mudeford Quay is a must for a visit, great fun for all the family, go crabbing along the quayside (you should find crabbing lines and buckets located inside the foot stool on the caravan decking - please help yourself and kindly bring back/replace for the next guests to enjoy - then take a stroll along the beachside promenade to grab Fish & Chips at the Noisy Lobster Restaurant situated on Avon beach or catch the Ferry over to The Spit - see below.
NOTE: the drop from the quay is quite high and tide is very strong in this area - small children should be supervised at all times.

Mudeford Sandbank (The Spit)/ Hengistbury Head - from Mudeford Quay take the Ferry over to Mudeford Spit, a unique and beautiful sand spit which adjoins the ancient headland of Hengistbury Head and forms a natural barrier between Christchurch Harbour and the open sea.

Prepare a picnic in advance and spend the day on the beautiful white sandy beaches with completely uninterrupted and panoramic views of the sparkling sea or just grab a bite to eat with drinks and ice cream from the local outlets on The Spit.
The Sandbank also forms part of Hengistbury Head, a designated site of Nature Conservation, with a dedicated visitor centre advising on the history and local wildlife, with plenty of advice on Free Nature Trails, activities in and around the centre & Nature Reserve.

Ferry Prices: March 2024: Adults £2.50 - Under 12 years £1.00 - Under 3 years Free.
Also accessible via car or walking via Hengistbury Head car park.

Historic Portsmouth - is a great day out - Fancy shopping centre for Mum and the Portsmouth Historic boatyard for Dad and the Kids...HMS Victory, The Mary Rose, etc - unfortunately, this is rather expensive now, although if you look around specials can be found, it really is a great activity learning about our Naval History, with plenty of hands-on experiences for the children, actively encouraged, which makes it much more fun than a dusty museum.

Or keep things cheap and simple and just take a blanket and camping chairs up to the front of the cliff top, sit back and admire the view over the Solent & across to the Isle of Wight Needles or for the slightly more energetic, take a lovely walk along the cliff top towards Barton on Sea, a couple of lovely watering holes along the way.
