Caravan Description

Set on the 5 Star Chesil Beach Holiday Park, our holiday lodge boasts stunning views of Portland across the bay, and the world-famous Chesil Beach.

The Swift Moselle has a large lounge and fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, air fryer and all the necessary glassware, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, cooking utensils you’ll ever need.

There's plenty of storage space in the two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath/shower, wash-basin and toilet. The second bedroom has two single beds.

The main bathroom has a spacious shower, toilet and wash-basin.

There is a 37” Smart TV and DVD player in the lounge, along with a TV in both bedrooms.

Outside there is a large sea-facing balcony with a Rattan cube set, two sun loungers and both small and large sun shades. There is also parking space beside the Moselle Lodge.

As well as access to park facilities, all utilities and fast, unlimited Wi-Fi is included in the price.

With safety in mind the lodge is equipped with smoke alarms, carbon monoxide monitors, a fire blanket and extinguisher.

You will always find our residential standard holiday lodge spotlessly clean, tidy, well-equipped, warm, comfortable, cosy and spacious.

Terms & Conditions

We understand the importance of reviews, so as we are new to Direct Holidays we have used this area to include comments from our previous rental website. All comments were accompanied with 5 star reviews for Accommodation, Facilities, Cleanliness, Customer Service and Value for money. We stopped requesting reviews in 2024 as we decided then that we would use the caravan more ourselves and only let to returning guests.

“We stayed in this caravan for a week over the August School Holidays.”
The caravan was in pristine condition on arrival with all the mod-cons and facilities that make it feel like home. As well as a very kind welcome gift. We had a fantastic time throughout the week getting out and about around Weymouth and Portland. The caravan was a great place to relax after some busy days. Especially being able to enjoy the view from the decked veranda looking out over chisel beach. We were very lucky with the weather that only enhanced what was a brilliant family holiday. Thanks to Dave and Deb for allowing us to use their caravan and for taking the time to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

Dave & Deb are very prompt at replying, friendly and we’re so pleased that we have found such lovely genuine owners that we can message from time to time to book with. For anyone new to Weymouth, Chesil Vista is a wonderful site with a lovely club, clean pool and great amenities, the site itself is located by the sea and the caravan has sea views. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay, visiting Weymouth each day plus exploring Lyme Regis, Abbotsbury & Swanage, we are already looking forward to coming back, Thank you Katie

“We were delighted with our stay in this lovely caravan.”
Bonus of a parking space directly beside it. The site is tidy with a great swimming pool and water slide and not too deep so safe for children. The club is nice with friendly staff and has entertainment on each evening. Views from caravan decking are amazing and the decking is so clean and well equipped for dining out or just relaxing. Indoor seating is comfortable and a large fire tv is there for a relaxing night in. The main bedroom is large with the most comfortable mattress i have slept in. I will be purchasing the same one for my bed at home. The bed linen is excellent quality and spotlessly clean, the bath sheets are pure white as are the rest of towels and dish towels. Dave and Deb were fantastic hosts giving us information about the site and the surrounding area. We hope to return soon.

“Mature Couple Date of stay - 9 May 2022 - 16 May 2022 A pleasant week in a spotlessly clean and very well equipped caravan.”
We have stayed in each section of Chesil Vista on our own, with our two sons and families and separately with our grandchildren. Yellow 44 (now Portland View 44) has been as good or better than all these visits including several stays at Skydecks (although the kids loved them!) Dave an Deb were very efficient and helpful, their support was top notch without being obtrusive. We hope to return in the not too distant future. 1st July 2023. Just got home and it seems that there is little point in repeating last year's comment (copied above) as we came back again this year. We are a matured but immature couple and will be happy to come back until maturity renders our return difficult!

“Spent the half term at this caravan which was warm, modern, well equipped and spotlessly clean.”
Extremely comfortable beds with the added luxury of an en-suite. Extremely generous and well thought-out welcome pack which was a pleasant surprise. Stunning views of Portland out of the patio window. The Chesil site was quiet but with amenities to suit all. Great communication from the owners Dave and Deb from the day that the holiday was booked up to our departure. Finally a regular bus service with reasonable fares serving Weymouth and Portland right outside the camp. All in all an excellent holiday and will be looking to return in 2023.

“Decided to book a last minute break and found this beautiful caravan - so glad we did !”
Dave was helpful and informative from the very start and answered our messages promptly. The Caravan is warm, modern and immaculate, it contains everything you'll ever need ( and more ! ) Beds were comfortable, showers were powerful and hot. There are gorgeous views from the decking , even during our visit in October. There is a lovely restaurant and entertainment venue on site and our older teenagers enjoyed using the swimming pool , gym ( small charge) and outdoor sports field.- There are so many places to explore nearby, Weymouth, Portland, West Bay & Durdle Door to name just a few. Deb & Dave left a welcome pack containing cleaning & hygiene essentials which was helpful & appreciated We had a brilliant time and I cannot recommend this caravan highly enough Deb & Dave Thank you for sharing your beautiful caravan, we honestly can't wait to return !!

From booking, the response from the owners were very prompt. Any queries were dealt with immediately and nothing was too much trouble. “Lovely clean, spacious caravan ?”
It has everything in anyone would need for a relaxing stay plus a lovely welcome pack on arrival which was nice touch. The lounge is very comfortable and the large decking was great for seating on to enjoy the views anytime of the day. It was nice to get out of bed in the master bedroom without walking immediately into a wall plus the en-suite is more a full bathroom and not the usually tiny one you’d expect to find. We didn’t really cook meals as we tended to have quick snacks when in but It looked like there was a good selection of utensils, pans etc that a family would need plus dishwasher tabs/dishcloths etc. It really is one of the best caravans we have had the pleasure to stay in. From initial booking enquiry to making sure everything is ok during your stay Dave & Debs are in constant touch with information needed. We were immediately reassured that everything would be as it should due to their friendly replies and acknowledgments of our emails/texts. We would recommend this beautiful caravan to anyone looking for a perfect home from home holiday. Thank you so much Debs and Dave it’s been a lovely stay and if we manage to get down again we will certainly be in touch to book again.

The communication from start to finish was amazing. The wine and chocolates there on arrival were a very welcome surprise, thank you. The park is fairly quiet, there is an indoor pool and sports area that the kids loved, a bar and a restaurant that we ate in one evening, it was all very nice, we sat and had a drink in the outside bar area whilst the children had a go in the small arcade. Such a great location, we visited Weymouth, Lyme Regis, West Bay, Lulworth Cove and hired some bikes and went over to Portland. There is so much to do in the area we really ran out of time. The weather wasn’t really on our side, which is a shame as would have been so lovely to sit on the veranda and admire amazing view of Portland at night, we admired it from the comfort of the caravan instead. The caravan was very clean and has all the facilities you would expect and a dishwasher! Everything worked well too. Dave is a very good communicator and was very helpful. The welcome pack was a nice addition too. The position of Chesil HP is perfect for us both when visiting Weymouth - we did not use any Park facilities during this stay but these would suit most people and there is plenty on offer. Thank you Dave and Debs - No 44 is a super caravan and we hope to return again.

“This was our second visit to this caravan having been Oct 2020 - we liked the area so much we wanted to return in the Summer.”
Once again the caravan was spotless on arrival and well appointed with everything you could need. We appreciated the lightweight duvets this time - they think of everything! It is spacious and has lovely views across to Portland. The outdoor furniture was most welcome and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the sunshine. Chesil Vista is well located for exploring Weymouth, Portland and the wider area. We loved walking to Chesil beach and rock skimming as well as days on the wonderful Sandy beach at Weymouth. Communication from Dave and Deb is great and lots of information is provided. Chesil Vista is a fairly quiet park but with bar & entertainment, a small arcade, a sports area and a swimming pool so enough to do. We enjoyed eating out but also had a lovely meal in the on-site restaurant on our final night. We were sad to leave on a glorious sunny day and hope to be back soon. Thanks Dave and Deb!

“Wonderful holiday park home with a lovely sunny terrace and beautiful views across to Portland and the beaches.”
It’s light, airy and spacious and has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard. It’s a great base for exploring the local area – Weymouth is a pleasant 30-minute walk away, and Portland can be reached in minutes by car. Church Ope Cove is a must-see! Great selection of bars, restaurants and takeaways nearby. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this lovely holiday park home.

Fab selection of glasses if you like drinking your drink out of the appropriate glass Comfortable king-size bed loads of cupboard space and bedroom storage and especially plugs in the right place for blow drying your hair all these things matter to have a comfortable stay lovely full size fridge freezer hot water all the time superb shower and outside furniture fabulous you don't have to bring a thing definitely stay here again and would recommend owners pleasant to book with and can't do enough for you excellent few days away

“From the moment we walked through the door it felt like home from home, welcome pack was very much appreciated & very thoughtful.”
Caravan had everything we needed for our stay & very comfortable, great views of Portland & Chesil Beach . We had perfect weather which was a bonus, being able to sit outside on the decking & enjoy the views with a glass of wine in hand enjoying the peace & quiet. The park it’s self was very clean & well kept, small shop just inside the reception area for the main items needed, because of Covid no entertainment indoors but they did have some outside, would highly recommend Breeze restaurant for eating, food & staff excellent, nothing was too much trouble, pool open not that we used it but may one day if we are able to return. During our stay we did the walk from Wyke along the coastal path to Weymouth & back with a stop on the way back at Sandsfoot Castle, lovely cafe there in well presented gardens & view ,selling drinks, ice creams & food, well worth a visit. Last night of our stay went to The Crab House for a meal, great choice of fish , price is what we would pay for the meal in one of our favourite restaurants in our home town, if you book in plenty of time ask for the table which is undercover what looks like half an upturned boat, it seats 6 people, it adds to the experience. My husband & I look forward to returning one day as we have had a great week with lovely memories. Thank you Dave & Debbie for the fabulous stay in such a fabulous holiday home.

It was super clean on arrival and well equipped with lots of useful things (such as clothes pegs!) The smart TV was great to have although the best thing to look at is the wonderful view! The caravan is in a good spot with nice views and also really easy to explore Chesil beach, Portland and Weymouth all within short drives or even a walk along the scenic coastal road. Chesil Vista is a welcoming park and the on-site restaurant offered tasty food. Thanks Dave and Deb - a really homely, cosy caravan and great communication. We hope to return in the future.

The caravan is a home from home with everything you need. We had some great weather on our week so the balcony and outdoor furniture were perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The site itself was lovely and quiet. We didn’t look into the entertainment areas because we are happy to do our own thing but I would highly recommend the crab cafe next door. The owners of the caravan itself were extremely helpful and kept us updated with all the COVID changes, checkin times etc. Thank you for a lovely week. We will be recommending to our family and friends.

Hi Hollie, Thanks for your further clarification feedback ( below) on the Facilities and Cleaning. i.e ‘For facilities I was referring to the actual site. Only small things such as signs saying there is a shop on site and there isn’t one anymore. Also we had takeaway one night from the site restaurant and it wasn’t very good quality for the price. With regards to the caravan we had everything we needed. Cleaning wise the only comment I would say is that the bathroom blinds are dusty. Pedantic I know but something I noticed when everything else was very clean when I walked in. ------------------------------------------------------------------ As discussed re Facilities - we’re glad you confirm the caravan itself was fully equipped and will pass your comments on to the site. re Cleaning – we agree - unfortunately, the static on the blinds attract the dust, we are replacing with roller blinds, when we have a free slot to fit them. Home from home with a superbly equipped kitchen, large flat screen TV and TVs in each bedroom, much to my daughters delight! Also a large decking area with comfortable furniture and lovely views. The site was quiet, clean and friendly. Our girls enjoyed the pool and the gym was perfect for me. We enjoyed a live tribute act in The Venue. The children enjoyed the evening entertainment with Shaun who did a great job. We enjoyed a long bike ride on perfect bike trails, Weymouth Beach and visiting Durdle Door. Thank you to Dave and Debbie who were very helpful when booking and the welcome goodie bag was much appreciated. We would recommend this caravan without reservation.
