Devon Cliffs Holiday Park

Well appointed with high quality caravans, this beachside holiday park is ideal for those looking for a relaxing break or something a bit more adventurous. If you’re holidaying with children, they’ll have plenty to do. With family activities such as archery, fencing, adventure golf, climbing, and even - if you’re feeling very brave - an aerial adventure experience. The site has it’s own swimming pool area featuring a breath-taking four-lane slide, and there is a café on the adjacent Devon Cliffs beach. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times when on the site, but can be taken to the Mash and Barrel, the on-site restaurant, so long as you are seated at one of the outside tables. Exmouth beach, next to Devon Cliffs, is an unrestricted dog beach and is an ideal place to go for a nice walk when the tide is out.

Hele Valley Holiday Park

Situated in North Devon, next to Ilfracombe, Hele Valley is a quieter site and an excellent choice for a more relaxing break. Though not choc-full of activities and entertainment, this park is situated very close to a number of excellent days out, ranging from golf and fishing, to go-karting, quad biking and rock climbing. There are plenty of excellent eateries and pubs in the local area to choose from and some really beautiful walks to enjoy with your dog. The year round dog-friendly Hele Bay is also just a short walk away and there are dog wash facilities on the holiday site should your furry friend return from their walk a little less presentable than you’d like.

Oakcliff Holiday Park

This family (and dog) friendly holiday park near Dawlish in Devon features its own swimming pool, play area and restaurant. Children’s entertainment is also available, with shows and events for all the family to enjoy. The sister-site to Oakcliff, Ladys Mile (a 15-minute walk along a connecting path), offers a two-lane bowling alley, two more swimming pools, an arcade and a sauna. Dawlish town is reachable either by car or a short walk along the seafront.

Welcome Family Holiday Park

The extremely well equipped Welcome Family Holiday Park is a fantastic destination for your family holiday. Featuring an abundance of on-site facilities including: 4 indoor pools (ranging from a bubble pool to a 1.5metre deep sports pool), a crazy golf course, amusements and arcades, sports grounds for basketball and 5-a-side football, a restaurant, a chip shop, well tended and local-award winning gardens and regular family entertainment. Phew! Dogs are welcome on-site but must be kept on leads at all times, and they can also be walked on the beach all year round, but only in the clearly marked dog-friendly areas.

Combe Martin Holiday Park

Combe Martin Holiday Park is a picturesque holiday destination in the North of Devon. The park is situated just a short walk away from Combe Martin beach, an excellent sand and shingle beach with great rock-pooling. The holiday park features a heated outdoor pool (in high season, July 18th to August 30th), a children’s play area and a dog-friendly clubhouse which enjoys beautiful views, serving food and drink. There are lots of local walks if you’re feeling active and there is a local supermarket should you need anything for your stay. Combe Martin beach is dog friendly, although dogs are not permitted in high season, between May 1st and September 30th.

As always, please remember to check your rental’s listing before bringing your dog as, although the holiday site may be dog friendly, the let you are looking at may not. If in doubt it is always best to ask the rental’s owner.

We hope you have found this guide helpful and hope you enjoy your break wherever you choose to visit!
