South Bay Holiday Park - Devon

About the Area

Our holiday caravan on John Fowler’s South Bay, is located on a quiet plot in G Field (Glenmoor field), a few minutes’ walk to reception, the clubhouse, restaurant, take away and Childrens arcade. The indoor and outdoor pool with children's flume and crazy golf is adjacent to the clubhouse, laundry and shop. There are also a couple of children’s play areas throughout the site.

There is a full itinerary of nightly children’s and adults’ entertainment including Bingo, along with a games room and mini arcade in the clubhouse. There is also the “Foxy” Club for children with activities. Please note for 2025 the site is cashless in all its activities including food and drink.

Explore the Beautiful South Devon Coastline

Just a short walk, only a couple of hundred metres beyond Foxdown Field, lies the South Devon Coast Path; a paradise for walkers, hikers and ramblers. This scenic route offers direct access to the breathtaking St Mary’s Bay Beach; a secluded spot reached via a staircase of over 100 steps. This hidden gem features an unspoiled mix of sand and pebbles and is ideal for swimming and relaxing. Lucky visitors may even spot seals or dolphins in the bay!

Other local beaches are also just a short drive or walk away and offer the full charm of a traditional British seaside holiday, with all the expected amenities.

Brixham Town & Harbour

The picturesque fishing town of Brixham is just a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk from the holiday park. Alternatively, a regular bus service from the park's reception offers easy access to Brixham and onward travel to nearby destinations including Paignton, Torquay, and Teignmouth.

From Brixham, you’ll find excellent road links to attractions farther afield such as Plymouth, The Eden Project, and even Cornwall, making it a great base for exploring South West England.

This historic fishing port is famous for its daily fish market, supplying fresh local seafood. The town is full of character with a range of independent shops, delicious eateries, cosy pubs, inviting cafés, and even stylish cocktail bars. Children and families will love crabbing off the Quay, a cherished local pastime.

The harbour also operates a local ferry service (weather permitting) to Torquay, Paignton, and Dartmouth, and offers rib rides and jet skiing for the more adventurous.

For convenience, a local taxi firm offers special rates for travel between the holiday park and Brixham town centre.
