The Owlet is a beautiful holiday caravan set on our own land in the middle of Bellbrook Farm and is the perfect setting for a complete recharging of batteries away from it all! It is not suitable for guests with dogs. Short breaks and flexible check in days are very welcome - please just email, text or ring.

Bellbrook Farm has four beautiful lakes to explore and is just 7 miles from Tiverton, 7 miles from Exmoor, 5 miles from Bampton and 4 miles from shops.

The Owlet is ideal for couples looking for a romantic break or for friends or family wanting a peaceful stay in beautiful Devon countryside.

It is a great location for spotting native wildlife and you may see herons, kingfishers and kestrels as well as deer, otters and an abundance of dragonflies and damsels.

The Owlet has a welcoming style and a lovely Ecodesign log burner. There is a galley kitchen with a full sized oven and gas hob and an under counter fridge with ice box as well as a coffee machine-complete with fair trade coffee!

The cosy living area has plenty of seating in front of the fire and a Smart TV (using Wi-Fi - as there is no aerial Freeview is not available but you can log in to Prime, Netflix, iplayer etc using your own details) and it has a DVD player. There is also a dining table and seating area where you can enjoy lovely meals whatever the weather. The main bedroom has a 4ft double bed, wardrobe and drawers. The second bedroom has twin beds and a single wardrobe.

The bathroom has a shower, a 'hip size' bath and sink - all on our own spring fed water. As a sustainable holiday destination we provide you with eco friendly toiletries and 'Who gives a Crap' toilet roll.

The Owlet is heated solely by the wood burner which keeps it lovely and warm and we provide one bucket of kindling and a basket of logs. Extra logs can be purchased on site at £5 a bag. We do recommend fluffy socks and pjs as depending on the weather, it can be chilly first thing.

As part of our sustainability the farm itself is run on entirely renewable energy and parts of the farm are given over to nature which creates an abundance of wildlife for guests to enjoy. We also carefully source our furnishings to ensure they are renewable or recyclable and use Method and Ecover cleaning products. We have no single use products and the dish brushes, cloths and bin bags are all biodegradable.

Access to this hidden gem is by via a farm track suitable fir cars only. There is no outside lighting on the farm so we strongly recommend guests arrive in daylight and bring torches.

You are more than welcome to explore the grounds, spotting dragonflies and enjoying the wild flora and fauna and you may also see our lambs frolicking in the fields or chat to our turkeys. The farm is quiet and relaxing, with a slow pace, and this is what makes it such a restful place to stay. We ask that guests with children respect this - there are no ball games, running, shouting or cycling on site. We are also a working farm so there is machinery around and this, along with deep lakes, means ALL children (under 16) must be supervised at all times. We also ask that children are not allowed to pick the wildflowers, ruin the banks and break branches off trees as previous guests have done.

The lakes are unsuitable for swimming in or fishing. There is a maximum of 4 guests and one car at The Owlet at any time, visitors are not permitted and guests are requested not to play any music or bring their own electric heaters/fans. Due to the access - down a farm track - only cars are allowed (campervans and vans will not fit!)

To book we ask for a £30 non refundable deposit and the balance due 4 weeks before the holiday commences. After this point there is no refund for cancellations.

We also ask for a £100 deposit which will be refunded on day of departure providing there is no damage or additional cleaning costs. This deposit can be paid be credit card.
