Caravan Description

Welcome to Squirrels Den; a larger than average (40ft x 13ft) comfortable holiday caravan situated in a quiet, sunny spot on the Warren Point side of the Oakcliff Holiday Park in Dawlish, Devon.

Oakcliff Holiday Park has a small play area, which can be seen from the caravan, and an outdoor pool across the road (open during main season). The Launderette is also on the other side of the road.

Wristbands are included which give free access to Oakcliff’s bigger sister site of Lady’s Mile (approximately a 15 minute walk away).

Access to the caravan is via the kitchen door. In the kitchen you will find an oven, hob and extractor; a full sized fridge and freezer; a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and a coffee machine. The cupboards house everything you will need in the way of crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking pots, pans and utensils. There is a round dining table with 4 chairs and a further 2 foldable bar stools. An integrated ironing board is situated in the kitchen too, along with an iron, fire extinguisher and first aid kit.

Fully separated from the kitchen by a sliding door, the comfortable lounge includes a large sofa (converts to a double bed, if required), two armchairs and coffee tables. There is ample space in the cabinets for your belongings and we have included a selection of paperbacks, jigsaws, board games and DVDs for your enjoyment too. Also in the lounge is a flatscreen TV/DVD player and a Freeview Humax box. In addition to the central heating and double glazing, a feature electric fire and thick carpets, ensures your comfort throughout winter stays.

Double patio doors from the lounge open onto a wraparound decking, complete with a table and chairs, parasol and barbecue.

Along the hallway is the main bathroom, which boasts a full-sized bath with power shower over, a WC, wash basin, cupboard space and mirrors. Opposite the bathroom is the twin bedroom. These beds are approximately 6ft long, but only 2 feet wide; so are more suitable for children. If not required, they can be folded away. This bedroom also has a single wardrobe, drawers and shelving. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, side tables and ample cupboards and mirrors. There is also a walk-in wardrobe with hanging rails, shelves and drawers, along with an en-suite that features a power shower, WC and hand basin.

Bed linen, bath mats and tea towels are supplied. However, you will need to provide your own towels.

Toilet rolls, kitchen roll, foil, cling film and bin liners are available when you arrive, along with cleaning products (including dishwasher tabs). There is also a small supply of tea, coffee, coffee pods, sugar, milk, salt and pepper.

The lead booker must be aged 25 or over.

Location

Oakcliff Holiday Park is away from the hustle and bustle of a busy seaside town, yet within easy reach of a stunning sandy beach. On site you will find a children’s playground and an outdoor pool (open seasonally). However, wristbands will be provided for Lady’s Mile Holiday Park, which is Oakcliff’s larger sister park. Here you will find an array of entertainment. There is a phone app that can be downloaded to check events, pool opening times and booking process.

Just outside the entrance to Oakcliff Holiday Park is a bus stop, with services to resorts further away. The station is just a few minutes away, so a car is really not a necessity.

A general store, gift/beachware shops, takeaways and pubs are just a short distance away.

A large supermarket is just 10 minutes away.

Places to visit close by include Dawlish (the home of the Black Swans), Teignmouth (an historic port), Babbacombe (with its model village and beautiful beaches), Torquay and Paignton. Bus timetables are available in the welcome folder, along with brochures for tourist attractions.
