Caravan Description
NOTE - FOUR BERTH ONLY
The caravan is quite modern, being approximately 6 years old, with gas boiler, central heating, double glazing, a stand alone fire in the lounge/diner and a TV (DVD player) and radio. There are radiators in all rooms to ensure you are toasty if the weather turns.
The kitchen has an Air Fryer, Microwave, modern Gas Cooker (with large splash-back and overhead extractor) and all cooking utensils, pots, pans, glassware, plates, tea pot, coffee pot and kettle.
The shower room has a shower, sink, mirror, cupboards, blind and toilet.
There are two bedrooms. The large bedroom is located at the end of the caravan which is very spacious, with a king size bed, bedside units with lamps, a vanity mirror and shelves with stool, plus plenty of cupboard space.
The second bedroom has two single beds, one of which is a ‘fold away’ bed (folds down and under the other bed) if it is not needed, plus a central low cupboard unit and overhead cupboards for each bed with shelves and lamp (s) and an end wardrobe.
The dining/kitchen/lounge open plan area has a modern table adjacent two seating benches with two stools. A long kitchen surface with cupboards above and below, air fryer, toaster, kettle, tea pot and coffee pot, microwave and sink with pull out bin underneath. In the lounge are two sofa seats, TV unit with a TV on top with remote (built in DVD player), digital radio, independent fire, free standing coffee table and lamp. Turbo fan. You can subscribe to WiFi for your stay which is easy to log onto on your phone. There is a stand alone fan Ioniser available for use if required in box unit next to sofa. Please ensure you turn this off again if used. WiFi plug.
The caravan has a courtesy light outside on decking that can be turned on by switch next to exit door when going out in the evening.
Outside the caravan has decking, complete with large table with umbrella (kept under bed in small bedroom - please pack away again on departure) and chairs (cushions in large bedroom overhead cupboard) There is also a Kebur bench (keys hung on coat rack) with cushion inside it for your comfort and a small box container with young child’s paddling pool and toys etc. Around the end of the caravan you will find a lock up which houses a fire pit for BBQ evenings (please place on stones stored under steps on grass area), body boards, beach chairs, a wind break and hammer (do not lose please) plus other handy bits.

Location
North Morte Farm Caravan Park is located in Mortehoe, Woolacombe. The walk into the village of Mortehoe is not very far and the village has two lovely public houses that serve food, a fish and chip shop and a brilliant takeaway (Rockleigh House). There is also a bistro on the corner offering accommodation and specialty food and a Farmhouse serving cream teas in the garden. The village also has a Post Office which offers refreshments and a small coffee house just up from here with a collection of vinyl records. Over the road is a car park leading to an interesting museum with play area including roundabout and swings and tractor rides are run from here on a regular basis. If you travel up the hill to the roundabout and turn left along this road signposted is a weekly Sheep Dog display which is worth a visit and great fun with toilets and refreshments.
On North Morte Farm Caravan Park there is a security barrier entered with a code (provided on registration) plus there is a green with wooden boat, climbing area and swings and mini football pitch (no leather balls) opposite the caravan, but the management of balls is requested (signs). Around the corner is another play area and dog walking area. There are also on sight Wardens keeping an eye on things. A fish and chip van normally attends at least once a week and this is shown on a sign outside the shop, which stocks plenty of everything and has takeaway coffees and pastries.
Venturing off the park, the walk from North Morte Farm around the coast and up to the lighthouse is amazing and you can see seals on a good day.
Woolacombe is the next stop from Mortehoe with a beautiful beach and surfing, along with the Barn pub/restaurant which is just one of many eateries. If you go left out of Mortehoe up to the Mortehoe roundabout you will find “The Depot” pub which does fabulous food for all family members such as pizzas and roasts on Sundays (* recommended)
Other beaches include Barracombe, Putsborough, Croyde, Braunton and Saunton to name a few, or you can travel further to Clovelly, Ilfracombe (Verity) or Combe Martin.

There is also a bistro and the cream tea farmhouse. Post Office, Church and small coffee shop with vinyl collection of records. The village also has an interesting museum with play area and tractor rides on a regular basis.On North Morte Farm Caravan Park there is a green with wooden boat climbing area and swings opposite the caravan, but the management of balls is requested on here (signs). Around the corner is another play area for the children. Woolacombe is the next stop from Mortehoe with a beautiful beach and surfing, along with The Barn, which is just one of the eateries. Excellent fish and chip shop with Amusement Arcade up the road or if you fancy round the corner is a pizza shop and other takeaways. There are other eateries such as Captain Jacks or a bit of luxury in Woolacombe Bay Hotel which offers an indoor pool sauna cinema and spa treatments. (Bookings essential)
Other beaches include Barracombe (which holds Curry Nights check out the sign), Putsborough (with cafe) Croyde, Braunton and Saunton to name a few, or you can travel further to Combe Martin, Ilfracombe or Clovelly. Ilfracombe is also worth visiting for its shops, eateries, theatre, museum, pitch and putt, the tunnels, amusements and Verity.
There are also cinemas in Ilfracombe and Barnstable.
