Ladram Bay Holiday Park is a multi-award-winning family holiday site, winner of "Best Holiday Park in Britain" and awarded Hoseason's Diamond Award for many consecutive years. Ladram Bay sits on the Jurassic coast World Heritage Site with its own enclosed beach and is reached through the picturesque village of Otterton.

Our Ladram caravan is sited high up on Peak View giving fantastic south and east-facing panoramic sea views across Lyme Bay as far as Portland, and across the Ladram Bay site to the hills leading to Sidmouth. The sunrises are amazing and the panoramic view needs to be seen to be appreciated!

We continue to have brilliant feedback from all our guests who stay in our van - we make it very easy to book, find the van, and we do go out of our way to accommodate what you need, and ensure you enjoy your stay.

Sleeping: the caravan has a main double bedroom with wardrobe, cupboard and drawer space, and two twin bedrooms with two single beds, wardrobe, cupboard and drawer storage.

The lounge has sofa seating with pull-out double sofa-bed giving 8 beds in total. The dining area has a dining table and chairs.

The shower room has a shower, loo, wash basin and heated towel rail. There is a separate toilet room with wash hand basin.

The kitchen has a gas cooker with four rings, oven and grill, and a fridge and freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, plenty of pans and utensils, crockery, cutlery, glasses and mugs.

The lounge has a flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player, coffee table, stools etc, and there is an electric fire when needed.

The patio has a paved area to the rear with two-burner gas barbeque, a large table and parasol with six chairs, to the front is a grassed area with some high planters and shrubs. Also outside there is a trunk with surf shoes in various sizes, kids foam surf boards, Frisbees, games, etc - please feel free to use them whilst you are there. (BBQ cooking tools are in the kitchen cupboards, please feel free to use our BBQ but please clean thoroughly afterwards!).

We provide one king size and one double duvet and four single duvets and eight pillows - guests will need to bring their own bed linen to cover these, along with their own towels, tea towels and washing up cloths.

We include electricity in the rental price - we monitor the electricity usage for reasonable use. For higher use - should you need to charge an electric vehicle - please discuss this with us. Gas for cooking, shower and central heating is metered in the van and guests will need to purchase gas credit from the site reception. We tryand maintain one unit in the gas credit for when you arrive to make sure you aren't without gas when you get there. Please make sure there is at least 1.0 unit of credit in the meter when you leave. As a guide, summer guests should only need approximately £10 to £15 or so of gas in a week of normal use.

Bookings

The rental period is normally Saturday to Saturday, we are also pleased to let for weekends and short breaks but we prefer this to be outside the peak summer holiday season. Please arrive from 3pm, but in some occasions we can arrange it earlier than that - just chat to us.
After booking we will then email you;
- a set of 'Joining Instructions' - how to get there, what's provided in the van and what you need to bring,
- a map of site to locate our van, and lastly,
- a 'Visitors Car Pass' to print out and display in your car. This will allow you free entry (the site now charges £10 per car/day otherwise, and during the Covid Emergency NO day visitors are allowed on to the Site - so 'No-pass' means 'no entry')
Get there as early as you want (after 9am) on the first day - no need to delay your arrival at site until 3pm (which can be a busy time as it is Ladrams own guests changeover time then) - park in the car park and enjoy your first day, that goes for the last day as well.
At the van there is a single tarmac car park space alongside our caravan decking, if you bring an additional car (which will also need a 'Visitors Car Pass' also, of course) this must be parked at the main gate car park during your stay.

Please make sure you leave the caravan by 10-11am on the day of departure. We do provide a vacuum cleaner for you to do a good clean-round. Please remove all food and rubbish to the bins at the rear of the reception car park.

Ladram Bay is a pleasant and enjoyable family holiday park and bookings are NOT accepted from all-male and all-female parties- in addition the lead hirer must be over 25 years of age. Additionally, should noisy or drunken conduct be mentioned to ourselves or to site you WILL be asked to leave immediately with no refunds from ourselves or the site.

We don't allow smoking or vaping in the caravan AT ALL. Its not only our personal preference, our van insurances would be rendered invalid in all cases, so that is a blanket ban, with NO exceptions please. We have one breach of this rule and its immediately noticeable - guests HAD clearly smoked in the main bedroom, which took considerable time and effort to banish the lingering smell - PLEASE don't. You may smoke on the patio (NOT on the deck, in case of dropped or unfinished cigarettes- the deck is plastic), but please clear up all evidence afterwards.

We are happy for you to use (only) our own gas BBQ, and ensure it is placed half-way between vans, and away from the wooden rear wall when in use and cooling down. And PLEASE give it a good clean afterwards!. The Ladram site recently banned all portable barbeques (foil trays, etc) - after a recent case when fire from one caught a caravan and destroyed it in minutes.

We do not often allow pets. If we do agree to allow a pet - we will need to discuss cleaning, sleeping and hygiene arrangements - an additional charge may apply (we have never needed to do this, actually). We do ask that the dog has its own bed, is fully housetrained, and keeps off all the furniture, AND that its flea and tick treatment is certified (and verifiable by us) as up to date. Dogs aren't allowed on Ladram Bay beach itself, and the site doesn't allow some aggressive dog breeds at all- but please ask us, or take a look at their website guidance, for clarification.

We would love to hear from you to discuss any stay, whether for a short break, long or short weekend, a week or longer - we have many guests who return frequently, multiple times in a season in some cases. We do start booking up for the next summer well before the end of the current one, so please contact us as early as possible. When you respond through this site please provide your email address AND a phone number, in case you mis-spell your email and we can't get back to you, it would be a shame for you to lose the chance to book simply because we can't respond, which has happened.

IMPORTANT NOTE : Please be aware that in this very unusual times, we are still absorbing the safety information issued from the UK Government and from Ladram Bay Management themselves.
Please note also the following current restrictions we are operating for our van :
- we will NOT be providing quilts, pillows, etc - please bring your own, plus all covering bedding for these.
- we will be carrying out thorough cleaning of the caravan and surroundings as normal - HOWEVER, your booking will only be made with us on your confirmed understanding that we cannot guarantee that the caravan will be free of Coronavirus traces, in common with other multi-use areas such as public transport or hospitality. It is up to you to make any additional cleaning or other measures you feel necessary, on arrival and during your stay, but you must not in any way mark or damage the fabric or structure of our caravan in doing so.
- we cannot guarantee the full eating, entertainment, pool, and other facilities will be open over the site, but we will strive to update these details as the summer progresses and we have more information and guidance.

The site offers facilities to make your stay relaxing when you need it, entertaining when you want it, and allows you to be as active or sedentary as you wish!

For shopping, there is a general store for groceries, essential beachwear and gifts to take home, a chip shop, and a laundrette.

For entertainment there is Ozzie the Otter children's club and grown-ups' entertainment in the Three Rocks clubhouse. The clubhouse also houses the Pebbles Restaurant with great views over the sea and the rock stacks that give the clubhouse its name.

There is a crazy golf course and amusement arcade, kids' dinosaur playground and pirate ship, and a heated indoor swimming pool with children's pool. The heated indoor pool is open daily and has a shallow kids pool with water jet games and a water slide, the adult pool has a bubble spa! There are children’s outdoor and indoor play areas. Guests will need to purchase leisure passes for the pool, we don't include these in the prices as not all our guests use these facilities during their stay.

The wide range of activities available over the summer season keeps kids busy and happy all through your stay. Internet zones are available in the Three Rocks and the Coast café - but Wifi across the site is widely available from site reception for a small charge.

Ladram Bay itself is quiet and sheltered, edged by the red sandstone cliffs so distinctive of the regions Jurassic Coast. The shingle beach is sheltered and as good for sun lovers as for those wanting water sports. Motor Boats, kayaks and paddle boards can be hired from the nearby kiosk which also provides a range of snacks, ice-creams and drinks and a sitting area overlooking the beach. A range of fishing tackle, crab lines and nets are on sale to tempt the adventurous. For fish and shellfish lovers there is freshly caught fish and shellfish to but adjacent to the kiosk complex - ask for Keith the Crasb man. He is also willing to cook his catch of lobster, crab, or prawns etc for you.

The region is crammed with places to visit - Sidmouth is only 2 miles but can be reached on foot by the clifftop footpath that starts behind the Three Rocks clubhouse. Budleigh Salterton is only 3 miles away and historic Bicton Park is very close. Crealy Adventure Park is also close by. Beer village and Beer caves are also well worth a visit.
