Out & About

Newquay is 3 miles away from the Newquay Holiday Park, (approximately 10 minutes’ drive). There is a regular bus service from the park (bus stop adjacent to the park entrance) into Newquay where you will find no less than 11 beaches, including the famous Fistral beach where the Boardmasters Surfers’ Festival is held annually. Surf board and wetsuit hire are commonplace at the larger beaches in Cornwall and surf lessons, stand up paddle boarding (SUP), kayaking and jet ski safaris are also available locally, together with coasteering and boat trips. Newquay town centre is worth a visit, where you can grab souvenirs, surfwear and a pastie or cream tea (jam before cream in Cornwall!)

There are many great places to visit in Cornwall too, including the famous Eden Project, National Trust ancient houses, exotic gardens, historic mining history and beautiful coastline. You can see seals in their natural habitat at Godrevy; visit FlambardsTheme Park; or if you have any art enthusiast in your party, St Ives is a must. Land’s End and the Lizard Peninsula are also popular.

Cornwall's breathtaking coastline has been used in film making, including Pirates of the Caribbean. Our favourite beaches include, Porthcurno (get there early, as the car park gets very busy in high season) beneath the famous Minack outdoor theatre that is built on a granite cliffside. Kynance Cove is stunning, but not suitable for people with mobility issues (be sure to go when the tide is low, especially in high season).

If we can help you with any queries, please just ask.
