About the Area
Millendreath is approximately a mile from Looe (as the crow flies), from the beach, there is a jetty from which to fish at high tide. At low tide the beach is sandy with lots of rock pools further along the beach. There are coastal paths, countryside and woodland walks from the valley. If the tide is right you can walk along the beach to Looe or Seaton and come back along the coastal paths. Ideal for dog walkers or ramblers. There is a beach side café and a water company offering kayak, body boarding and surf hire.
The site is being redeveloped by the owners. We have been told that no major building work will be going on through the summer months. There is no pool or amusements on site at present.
Out and About
With in a 5 mins drive there is a Pub, Chinese Take away, fish and chip shop, Londis with a cash machine and off licence or for the energetic it is within walking distance.
Looe golf course is only 10 minutes drive away. There are many other courses within easy drive.
Just up the very steep cliff path towards Seaton is The Monkey Sanctuary though it would be quicker to drive to it.
Looe is a picturesque fishing town with harbour, restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops dotted through its narrow quaint streets. A popular family pass time is fishing for crabs from the quay side. A few miles further on is the quaint coastal village of Polperro, well worth a day out.
Other places of interest include Charleston Shipwreck and Heritage Museum, Lost Gardens of Heligan, and world famous Eden Project. Plus many more places throughout Cornwall.
