Chalet Description
Curlews Nest (Chalet 179) is set within 27 acres of grassed parkland on Atlantic Bays Holiday Park, near Padstow in Cornwall, with plenty of space between the chalets.
There is ample free parking in the designated areas.
Outside Curlews Nest on Atlantic Bays Holiday Park, is a decked area with a large picnic table, which is ideal for alfresco dining
Please be aware that smoking is not permitted in the chalet or on the decked area.
The kitchen has modern units and is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, ‘fridge, washing machine, microwave oven etc. There is a dining table with four chairs and enough cutlery, crockery and glasses for four people.
In the lounge area there is a three seat sofa and a chair, a wall mounted TV/DVD player. Heating is provided by two oil filled radiators. There is a selection of Ordnance Survey maps and books with walks for most abilities which are available to borrow.
There are two bedrooms, one with a standard double bed and one with twin beds. Both rooms have a wardrobe and a small chest of drawers. There are also bedside tables and lamps and a hair dryer. Pillows and duvets are provided as is bed linen and towels.
The fully tiled bathroom has a shower cubicle, wash basin, toilet, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.
Wi-fi is available for a charge payable to the Site Owners
Location
On the Atlantic Bays Holiday Park there is a small shop and laundry. The chalet owners cannot be held responsible for the non-availability of any of the site facilities.
Unfortunately pets are not allowed due to site rules.

About the Area
St. MerrynThe village of St. Merryn is about 1.5 miles away. Here you will find shops, a petrol station and Barnecutts bakery (great bread and Cornish pasties). There are also cafes, restaurants and pubs including The Cornish Arms owned by Rick Stein, The Pig at Harlyn and The Farmers Arms. There is also a Bar within walking distance.
Padstow
Padstow is an old fishing village about 3 miles away. Although not as busy with the fishing fleet, the harbour is bustling with all kinds of leisure craft. Take a fishing trip, a spin in Jaws, a high speed motor launch, or a more relaxed trip on the Jubilee Queen. There are numerous shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.
There is a regular ferry service across the River Camel to Rock from where you can walk to Daymer Bay and Polzeath.
The Camel Trail is popular with cyclists and walkers. On the site of the old railway track it runs for 18 miles between Padstow and Bodmin through Wadebridge. Cycles can be hired from any of these towns.
There are seven bays within a few miles of the chalet. One for everyday of the week. These are Trevone, Boobies, Constantine, Harlyn, Porthcothan, Treyarnon and Mother Ivey’s. From any of these access can gained to the South West Coastal Path and the magnificent views of the Cornish coast.
Further afield there is Bedruthan Steps (National Trust) with it’s spectacular views. The tea room is a must. (Great cream teas with scones made on the premises).
The world famous Eden Project with its futuristic Biomes is about 12 miles away. Here you can walk through a South American Rainforest or wander around a Mediterranean vineyard.
