Location

Camping du Quinquis is a fairly small, 4-star family run campsite near the coast of South Brittany in North West France.

The campsite boasts an on-site bar that provides regular entertainment in high season for both adults and children, including regular live local bands, moonlit swimming, shows, concerts, bingo, quiz nights and themed evenings.

There are 3 heated swimming pools, two with water slides, and a Jacuzzi, with plenty of sun loungers around all of the pools to relax on with a cocktail and shaded areas which you will need because the pool area is a real sun trap.

There are also children's play areas, a football pitch that hosts football tournaments, a tennis court, several table tennis tables, darts and pool table and a wide range of bikes for hire.

There are several launderettes on site and a reception with a small shop. Meals are served in the bar Fri, Sat and Sun during low season and every night for the months of July and August to sit-in or take-away. The boules court that is situated behind the bar area can be very popular in the warm evenings as the sun goes down.

Reception offer a service for ordering fresh bakery items the day before, for a very French breakfast the next morning.

The site makes a perfect base from which to explore Brittany, being only 10 minutes from the main motorway and has several golf courses within 15km.

There are many beautiful beaches nearby, as well as cliff-top walks along the coastline. The campsite is also close to a large forest, where you can walk or mountain bike through the beautiful woodland on so many different paths and end up in a village for lunch! There are many inexpensive good quality restaurants in the local area, catering for both children and adults.

There is the possibility for water-sports at the nearby Guidel Plage, which offers Jet-skiing, surfing and sailing. You can also Kayak on the sea or head up or down stream with the tide on the nearby River Laita. The area is also very popular for fishing.

There is an array of markets and small pretty villages to visit and plenty of parks, beaches and other places of interest to amuse the children. Numerous soft sandy beaches can be reached in just 5 minutes by car or 30 mins on foot.

Quinquis Animal Park is also just 100m from the campsite reception, where you will find a wide selection of free roaming animals, including alpacas, deer, sheep, goats, geese and many other smaller animals.

Throughout the week, local towns and villages host weekly markets where fantastic local produce can be sampled and purchased. The closest markets to the campsite are Clohars Carnoet (Saturday) and Guidel (Sunday). Le Pouldu even has an evening market, but there are many others in the local area to choose from and head to.
