We would like to welcome you to our spacious, 35’x12’ ABI Malvern, 2 bedroom caravan at beautiful Ladram Bay.
We have a nice patio and grass area ideal for children, with a large patio table and chairs (not shown in the photos but the table can seat 6). We also have a Weber charcoal BBQ for those al fresco dining moments. You will also find a rotary line for your wet gear .There is parking next to the caravan .
The double bedroom (with en-suite toilet) has a large wardrobe and a full dressing table with drawers, mirror and stool. You will also find a hair dryer for your use. There is also plenty overhead storage. There is also room to fit a travel cot. The twin bedroom has a wardrobe and a cupboard above each bed. In addition, there is a small size double sofa bed in the lounge.
There is a full size shower room with basin and toilet, along with plenty of shelving to store all your toiletries and towels.
The kitchen is fully equipped with gas cooker, full size fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave. You will find plenty of plates, baking dishes, pots, pans and glasses. Please bring your own tea towels.
The lounge has a 40 inch Smart TV with Freeview and a DVD player. There is also a comfortable sofa which seats 5 or 6 people, along with a storage box stool where you will find a few toys/games for the kids.
There is a separate dining table and chairs.
Duvets and pillows are provided. However you will need to provide your own sheets, duvet covers and pillows cases, as well as your own bath/hand towels….. and don’t forget your beach towels!
The cooker and central heating uses gas. The gas is not supplied for your complete stay, but can be topped up at reception using the card. The card has to be inserted into the meter once topped up. The meter is situated in the shower room cupboard.
We are located just two minutes from the well-stocked grocery shop and fish and chips takeaway. There is also a launderette on site.
The beach is just a 5 minute walk away; great for crabbing in the rock pools when the tide is out! Ladram Bay is in its own sheltered cove with the opportunity to hire boats, kayaks and paddleboards. There is a snack bar on the beach too – The Beach Shack – ideal for snacks, drinks and ice creams. The local fisherman sells his catch – just stop by his hut near the snack bar and ask!
There is a fabulous indoor pool on site with a café located in the entrance. Weekly passes can be purchased for swimming and gym at reception if required. An outdoor kid’s splash zone with sun loungers is next to the swimming pool and you can also find crazy golf there too. There is also a children’s playground in this area. There is a big playing field at the top of the cliff where you can play football or cricket etc with the kids or fly a kite maybe.
Pebbles restaurant and bar has lovely veranda overlooking the Ladram Bay stacks and beach. Ideal for that early evening cocktail. The arcade and soft play area are located next to the restaurant.
The Waves clubhouse and bar is beneath Pebbles restaurant and has Nightly entertainment and bingo including Ozzie’s Den kids club. It has TVs that show the latest sports. You can also get free Wi-Fi here.
Out & About
The Jurassic coastline is wonderful for walking. The regency town of Sidmouth is a 2 mile easterly walk away over the big hill! Budleigh Salterton another beautiful town is a 3 mile westerly walk away.
The local village of Otterton is a mile walk away or you can do the circular walk along the coast. The village has a great pub, the Kings Arms where you can have a delicious lunch or dinner and has a nice beer garden.
The Otterton Mill is right next to the river Otter has a lovely café selling homemade breads and cream teas along with a craft shop and a small farm shop. From here you can walk to Budleigh Salterton along the river.
There is plenty to do in the area and the reception has a variety of information leaflets.
