Caravan Description

We have a Swift Soleil, 35’ x 12’, 3 bedroom caravan to let on Ladram Bay Holiday Park in Devon, sited on our plot at 79 Peak View.

We offer rentals from Friday to Monday and Monday to Friday, the reasons we have done this is 2 fold:

. Travelling to Devon on a Saturday in peak season is a nightmare
. We would also like to spend a tad more time in the caravan we own, which would give us more options for the odd weekend!

This we believe also gives you more options, Fri to Monday (3 Nights), Monday to Friday (4 Nights always cheaper than the 3 Day Weekend, ideal for the retired), Fri to Fri (7 Nights) or Fri to the Following Monday (10 Nights), or any other option you can based on this, for stays longer than 7 nights we will negotiate a price. 10% additional discount for a 2nd booking in the same season!

We provide bed linen, so when you leave the caravan you will just need to replace the used quilt covers, bottom sheets and pillow cases with fresh linen from under the beds and place the soiled lined in the box out the front.

In booking with us, you will be paying quite a bit less than the cost of a Park caravan. It would therefore equate to quite a significant saving.

Our caravan is in a field where all the caravans are privately owned, which provides probably a better element of respect. All night parties are not the norm and not expected!

All we ask is:

. You treat the caravan with the respect you would if it were your own
. Leave the caravan as you would expect to find it
. We do NOT have cleaners - come in and clean after you
. Report any problems
. You have to be out of the park caravans by 10am – However, we say 12 midday as you will need a bit more time to clean the caravan

Rubbish
You will need to take the rubbish down to the recycling centre at the back of the shop. It is recycling, so feel free to segregate your rubbish. However, due to the limited space in the caravan there is just the one bin. Please ensure you remove all the rubbish before you leave and please use bin liners, which can be found in the bottom of the cupboard to the right of the cooker.

TV
The caravan has a 42″ flat screen TV and DVD player, along with a selection of DVDs in the cupboard for rainy days! There is also a 19” TV in the main bedroom.

Washing & Drying etc.
There are no facilities for washing or drying in the caravan, but laundry facilities are available on site, just past the site office on the left. However, there is an iron and ironing board available in the caravan.

Internet Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi at the caravan in 2015 to 2018 proved unreliable. So we offer no WiFi, Although we will aim to provide it, we can’t make any promises. If it doesn’t work that is unfortunate, but if it does - treat it as a bonus! Internet Wi-Fi. We have put a huge investment into Wi-Fi at the caravan. At times it works very well at times not at all, this is unfortunately due to our suppliers and we can only be as good as our suppliers.

Loo rolls
Could you please leave a bit of loo roll for the incoming occupants - there is nothing worse than arriving after a long trip and finding no loo roll! We don’t normally include it in the price, but just in case you are cut short there is an emergency supply under the seat in the living room. We won’t moan if you use it as long as it all doesn’t go!

The Storage Boxes
You will find a key in the boiler cupboard, whatever it fits you can use, feel free to use any of the stuff in there: wet shoes, fishing rods and kit, bats, small surfboards etc, inflatable boats oars, kites - help yourselves to using any of the content. If you break any of it or lose it don’t worry, don’t replace it, it is all old stuff! There is a blow up dingy you are welcome to use.

Cleaning Kit
There is a hoover in the cupboard in the main bedroom and there should be plenty of cleaning material in the cupboard to the right of the cooker. We will supply this. If you find you are short of something, you will find some more with the spare loo rolls.

Books & Leaflets etc.
You will find plenty of activity leaflets, books, maps etc. Please feel free to use them.

The Handover
As you do, or we do, we normally shop and as per the norm, over shop! if you have some over shop, feel free to leave in the cupboard for the incoming occupants.

Swimming Pool Passes
We do as the owners and they have photo ID, you do get passes in the site caravans but unfortunately we do not offer these. However it is not expensive, the prices are on the site website.

Hairdryer, Iron and Board
There is a hair dryer available in the main bedroom wardrobe and an iron and board.

Babies & Toddlers
There is a fold up baby cot, a high chair & pushchair available at the caravan.

What Do You Need?

We supply the quilts, pillows, bottom sheets, quilt covers and pillow cases. All the beds should be made with fresh linen when you arrive. When you leave you will need to replace the bed linen with clean items that can be found in boxes under the beds and place the soiled linen in the right hand plastic bench at the front of the caravan.

There is a double quilt in the double bedroom and 4 single quilts in the two other bedrooms. Every bed space is supplied with 2 pillows.

You will need to bring tea towels and your own personal towels, along with the normal essentials you would take to a hotel. We do however, provide complimentary soap, shower gel and shampoo.

You will not need cleaning kit, we will supply this.

You will need to shop for everything you would normally do at home.

There is a Tesco on the right as you go into Exmouth – approximately 6 miles.

We normally leave plenty of condiments like salt, cooking oil, ketchup, dog food, maybe beers - feel free to use. We have no issue in you using these, just be reasonable please. We don’t expect the ketchup, oil etc. to be replaced, but if you drink my beers or spirits – please replace.
