New in April 2012 is our luxury, extra-large, 3 bedroom, 6 berth mobile home for hire on Les Charmettes.
Our Victory Village is extremely well-equipped and includes: air-conditioning; mains electricity and water; hot water heater; gas hob, plus a combi oven-grill and microwave (sited on decking area); washing machine and dishwasher.
It also benefits from having double glazing throughout and two shower/bathrooms (one en-suite).
The holiday home comprises:
Lounge with air-conditioning, English TV via Freeview box, a large comfortable seating area with additional armchair, coffee table, array of lighting, electric fire with flame effect, double doors onto covered terrace offering substantial additional living/dining space.
Kitchen and dining area with gas hob with hood extractor fan, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, all crockery and utensils including steamer and slow cooker, along with a dining table and 4 chairs (2 additional chairs to be found in master bed wardrobe - the dining table extends to accommodate 6 people). An additional fridge and freezer can be found on the terrace.
Two bathrooms, each offering a superb shower in a large cubicle, heated towel rail, WC and wash basin, plus under-sink cupboard for toiletries.
Three bedrooms, with the spacious master bedroom having a king-size bed, extensive fitted wardrobes, drawers and cupboards and an en-suite bathroom. The second and third bedrooms each have twin beds, offering the possibility of double/king size beds when pushed together, if required. Both also have a wardrobe and fitted cupboards. All beds have quilts and pillows, but customers should provide their own bed linen and towels.
Outside we have a fully covered and enclosed terrace/deck with zipped covers that can be rolled up/down. There is a dining table for 6, a conservatory suite and additional armchair on the terrace so you can enjoy the outside inside with a glass or two of wine, particularly in the evening. The garden is a private suntrap, enjoying the sun all day. It has also been landscaped offering a number of extra seating and eating areas, along with a range of flowers and shrubs. We have a gas BBQ, several sun beds, parasols and a range of toys for the youngsters. For the sporty we have 4 bikes you are welcome to use, but it is important that you see the disclaimer in the main letter we send out.
We enjoy an extra-large plot, one of only a few on the Park, which is quiet and private whilst being only a few minutes walk from the main amenities - shop, complex with its bar restaurant, theatre and pool complex.
We are a mature, non-smoking retired couple who take a real pride in our holiday home.
There are no extras to pay as electricity, water and bottled gas is all paid for by us.
Bookings & Conditions
Our home is a strictly non-smoking home
We do not accept pets.
Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday and the home is available from 4pm. Our cleaning company need time to prepare the home between each visit, although special arrangements can be made in liaison with them.
We require a 20% non-refundable deposit and a further 20% six months before the commencement of your holiday.
The balance is payable 2 months before your holiday.
Payment arrangements, excluding the 20% non-refundable deposit, may vary according to the date of your booking and or holiday dates.
In addition we require a bond of £300 payable with your Final balance, 2 months before the commencement of your holiday. This will be refunded in full after your holiday, provided no damage/loss has occurred and no cleaning is necessary (full cleaning policy will be supplied with other information).
On receipt of your final payment we will send you details relating to your arrival (keys, access instructions, directions etc.)
Les Charmettes is one of France's premier Parks and is proud of its reputation. With all the facilities on Park it is perfect for families with children, but also suits the more mature among us. The pool complex with its variety of pools, slides and entertainment is great for all ages. In addition the kids' clubs, tennis courts, boules, crazy golf, bike hire, table tennis, pool tables, bar, restaurant, take-away, theatre and entertainment team, ensures there's a wide range of activities to suit everyone.
This is a large Park set in beautiful surroundings, with woods close by with plenty of wildlife. Les Charmettes is immaculately kept, the staff are helpful and friendly with a management team who are committed to ensuring that everything runs smoothly and you have a wonderful holiday.
Fun Passes: All persons on site require a Fun Pass to be able to access the many facilities and entertainment on Park. The Passes can be bought from reception and can also be used to get discounts at some off-site locations.
The area around Les Charmettes is great. The French are keen cyclists and the area is well-furnished with cycle tracks, particularly through the nearby forest, which will take you into La Palmyre in about 30 minutes. You may use the bikes provided and extra bikes can be hired from Cyclo-trott (who have an on-site hire service). The beach in La Palmyre is long, sandy and beautiful. It also boasts a world renowned zoo. Close by there are other lovely places to visit, such as St Palais, Royan, Isle d'Oleron and Isle de Re.
You may also like to go further afield: La Rochelle with its fabulous old town/port and lots of lovely places to eat; Cognac - need I say more, the House of Otard is our personal favourite; Saintes; Bruoage, which is a walled town with cobbled streets and a wonderfully undisturbed feel to it.
