About the Area
On site facilities make South Bay Holiday Park great for kids, with entry to Foxy's Clubhouse and great entertainment for everyone, which includes quizzes, discos, nightly entertainment and bingo, plus pool tables and an arcade area.
There's also plenty of outdoor activities, including a heated indoor and outdoor pool area with flume slide, a play area and adventure playground, basketball and crazy golf.
Free Wi-Fi access is available in the clubhouse, along with access to the computer area.
Food and takeaway is available within the clubhouse in Chef's Corner, and there's a local on site shop for everyday items.
Outside the Holiday Park there are many places of interest and adventure to explore and plan family days out.
St Mary's Bay is one of many beaches, which is just a few minutes walk - if you can take on a little over one hundred steps this is a stunning, quiet and sandy beach.
Towards Berry Head and you will come across Shoal Stone beach where you can explore the rock pools and enjoy the open air seawater pool. Facilities are available to get changed, pull up a sun lounger and sit round the pool and chill out with food and beverages from the refreshment kiosk. Adjacent to the rock pool is a lovely sandy breakwater beach, which is one of the cleanest and safest beaches of South Devon.
Why not spend a day or two round Brixham harbour and taste the locally sourced catch of the day. With many shops to wonder around, you won't be stuck for gifts. Treat yourself to hands on experience on the replica of the 16th century Golden Hind, which is moored in the harbour.
With over 22 Blue Flag beaches along the English Riviera, there is something to do for everyone, including 3 beaches towards Paignton, where you will also find so much other fun stuff to experience, including "Quay West" the UK's largest outdoor water park. There's also go karts, a large arcade area and beach shops, not to mention a boating lake should you wish to take up water sports, water skiing or just a speed around on a sports boat. When you're feeling hungry and thirsty why not drop in at the Inn on the Quay; great for family meals and all you can eat buffets - there's even a play area for the kids to keep them occupied. Don’t want to miss out on the sun? you can sit in the pub garden and enjoy hot and cold food from the garden grill.
I'll just run off a few more exciting adventures around the area, otherwise this will go on forever and you'll miss your holiday :-)
