Come to visit my pride and joy, my beautiful, (brand new 2012) Willerby New Hampshire Lodge, overlooking Christchurch harbour, on the small, peaceful Sandhills Holiday Park at Avon Beach.

Much as I'd love to spend all my time here, I really must resist, and so you have the chance to enjoy it too. Have a look at the Availability page for prices, and contact me for Availability.

Here's how it will be: Before you are unpacked the tranquillity of this gorgeous location will have relaxed you. Set amongst mature trees, in dappled shade, you'll sit on the west facing deck with a pot of tea and marvel at the enthusiasm of the folks playing in the harbour.

Take an indulgent bath in the family bathroom to prepare for being a domestic goddess in the luxury kitchen.

There's a conventional oven and hob, or a microwave to speed the process up, an enormous fridge/freezer with a chilled drinks dispenser, and a big wine rack to hold your rewards for being so good. There's also a washer/dryer, iron and board and a little vacuum cleaner if at some future point you really must! Please bring tea towels with you. Dine intimately indoors, or romantically al-fresco on the deck; there's seating for four either way.

Then, in the cool of the late evening you can be cosy in front of the fire, curled up on the sofa to watch your favourite DVD on the 32" LED TV, or tweet and make your friends on Facebook envious with today's photos . In the depths of winter the central heating and double glazing will keep you really snug.

And so to bed. There's one double bedroom with a TV and an en-suite shower room, and a twin room (2'6" beds). Both have lots of storage space and bed linen is provided, but please bring your own towels.

In the morning you can take it slow and easy and breakfast on the deck, or, if you can tear yourself away from all this tranquility, you could amble along the beach to the cafe for a full English breakfast; believe me, it's worth getting up for!

Having ventured out, take a glance at what's on offer on the park: the outdoor heated pool, children's play area, a friendly bar (with entertainment, free wi-fi, Sky TV and a small amusement area) and a gym!

Once you're fully revived there's a choice of ways to use up your energy without having to move the car (which incidentally, has its own spot beside your Lodge).

When you've done playing on the park, nip through the little gate onto Avon beach; perfect for laying prone for maximum bronzing, swimming, building sandcastles or people watching (we all do it!). Wander around the corner to watch the wind surfers in the harbour.

Stroll along the quay, where the kids catch crabs, to the pub or the cafe and buy fresh fish for supper. Watch the little ferry taking folks over The Run to the beach huts and the Beach House Restaurant on The Sand Spit and resolve to take a look over there tomorrow. You can see the magnificent Christchurch Priory across the harbour and over the Stanpit Marshes Nature Reserve, and Hengistbury Head has more history than you'll believe.

Then of course, there's the beautiful Isle of Wight with The Needles glinting in the sun like a fantasy island. All well worth a visit ... later. No boring seascapes here at Mudeford!

At this point, you'll either be all enthusiastic about arranging to go sailing, canoeing, playing golf, fishing on a boat trip, walking, riding, cycling, exploring Christchurch and all the other gorgeous towns on the coast, or The New Forest, or you'll be exhausted by the thought of it and decide to return to tranquillity, a good book, a glass of wine and a sun lounger at The Lodge.

The choice is yours .... just enjoy. No matter what time of year, this is a wonderful place to relax or play.

During the course of the season the area has events galore to suit all tastes. Each week there will be at least one town or county show within easy reach to visit. There are concerts and festivals to suit all tastes, and markets in all the local towns, some are French or Italian.

Check the internet for up to date information and to see what annual fairs you might enjoy, like Christchurch Music Festival, and their Food Festival, Romsey Beggars Fair, Winchester Hat Fair, Southampton's Mela, Stock Gaylard's Oak Fair, Wimborne Folk Festival, and lots more throughout the season.

There are museums, adventure parks, theatres, and fascinating historic buildings like The Priory, Christchurch Castle, The Constables House, and just along the coast, Hurst Castle. Wonderful restaurants catering for all tastes are abundant in the area.

Details for hundreds of attractions are available at reception.

Or you could sit on your deck and watch the sun go down with a glass or two ;)

Please do visit for a memorable holiday or short break. Just not this weekend, I've talked myself into a break!
