Caravan Description
Welcome to our 3 bedroom, 8 berth caravan. All the photographs were taken in March 2017. The caravan is non smoking accommodation. Smokers are welcome but there is no smoking in the caravan. We accept well behaved pets.
The caravan is situated on the coast side of the Perran Sands Holiday Park, approximately 40 meters from the coastal path at the top of the dunes, which lead down to the beach.
We are also only a few minutes from reception where you can purchase your entertainment passes and linen if required. The shops and bars on the site are also in this complex.
The caravan is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguisher for the safety of you and your family.
There is a double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms, in addition to the fold out double bed in the lounge area. Each bedroom has fanned electric heat, with a gas fire in the lounge.
Quilts and pillows are provided, but you will need your own base sheets, quilt covers and pillow cases (linen is available for hire at reception). The double bedroom also has a hairdryer. There is a cot side for one of the beds. A vacuum cleaner is also provided.
The main door enters into the open plan lounge. In addition to the modern gas fire it is equipped with flat screen TV, with Freeview, DVD player & a PlayStation 2 games console with a selection of games. There are several built in cupboards for storage in which you’ll find a selection of DVDs, books and games for your use.
The well lit dining area has a circular table with "U" shaped seating and a stool.
The well equipped kitchen provides full size gas cooker with 4 burners, grill and oven, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and extractor fan, and is again well lit. There is a good selection of pans, utensils and crockery. You will need tea towels.
The shower room has a basin and shower, heated towel rail and extractor fan. The adjacent WC also has a hand basin and extractor fan. You will need your own towels.
Hot water is provided by the gas water heater located in the passageway to the rear door. The cupboard also contains a wind break and assorted play equipment for your use.
Gas and electricity charges are included in our charges.
Outside is a picnic bench in a small patio area.

About the Area
Perran Sands Holiday Park is a Haven Holiday Park with all the entertainment you would expect. The Splash Zone has heated indoor pool with flume, heated outdoor pool with terraces, Learn2swim, Aquacise, water tots, surf rider, splash zone activities and aquajets.There are lots of things to do for all the family including character entertainment for the young (and possibly the old..!) plus evening entertainment ranging from magicians to game shows etc. and late night discos.
Outdoors is great with football coaching, Nature trail park ranger, Sportszone activities, mini golf, fun tower and Rory's play land. Golf and horse riding are available adjacent to the site entrance.
The modern live bar hosts, shows, live cabarets, live bands and children’s activities. .
On the site in the main pedestrianised precinct there is reception, an amusements arcade. bars and restaurants, fresh pizza, grocery store & gift shops, Fish & chip shop, cash machine, Laundrette, surf shack, and activity hub.
There are activities for all: Water walkerz, rollerblade disco, basketball, archery, paintball, fencing coaching, and 5-a-side football. The wonderful beach has lifeguards for most of the summer and is brilliant for surfing.
Some facilities including pools, flumes and cabaret require ‘Funworks’ passes.
Our prices are exclusive of Haven entertainment ‘Funworks Passes’, but we will happily quote you for them. You can buy them on site at reception.
Local Area
We have left a selection of brochures in the caravan. Further brochures are available in reception. Public transport is available with a bus service coming onto site in the summer.
You don't have to travel at all. The dunes adjacent to the site, the highest dunes in England, have lots of secrets; St Pirran's church, plus rabbits, badgers, singing birds and wild orchids to mention a few. It is an area of scientific interest.
You can go the long way to the beach and see breathtaking views. The coastal path takes you along the cliff tops into Perranporth. When the tide is out you can also walk along the beach. Perranporth itself is timeless, lots of little beach shops, cafes, bars and a very handy Co-op with cash machine. The beach is beautiful with an excellent bar/cafe overlooking the sea; gorgeous in the evening with frequent spectacular sunsets.
Around & About
Newquay (approximately 5 miles to the north) has the bigger shops and wonderful restaurants, yet still maintains its magic with 5 wonderful beaches.
There is lots to do and see: The Eden Project; nearby St Austel has a famous brewery; cider farms a plenty; Mevagissey, a charming fishing port with fresh fish and fishing trips; St Ives, a magnet for artists because of its natural beauty, with boat hire and fishing trips; Bedruthen Steps; Tintagel (King Arthur's castle); Padstow (Rick Stein's empire); Port Isaac, where Doc Martin was filmed; Goonhilly Earth Station; Flambards Theme Park; Seal Sanctuary; Poldark tin mine; Penznance; Trago Mills shopping village; Cornwalls only city, Truro is a short drive away and much, much more.
