Our mobile home is situated on one of the most exclusive pitches on this lovely 4* site.

It enjoys the added benefits of a large south-facing garden with large sunbathing or picnic areas. For your comfort we provide: 3 white PVC sunbeds; 2 moulded mesh sun loungers and footstools; 2 folding lightweight sunbeds which can also be taken to the beach; 2 sun chairs for garden or beach use; large folding wooden picnic table with wooden benches.

You will also have the use of one of the two shower buildings available to us, which contains a power shower and double sink, together with a full sized washing machine and tumble dryer complete with all cleaning materials and equipment.

The garden is lined with shrubs providing a degree of privacy, and the pitch's location means that you see very little passing traffic or people.

We are just around the corner from the lovely swimming pool.

Our comfortable cottage-style mobile home is a spacious 40m sq with 2 double bedrooms and a twin bedroom.

The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower, hand basin and WC, and there is also an additional internal shower room with hand basin and WC adjoining the other 2 bedrooms. All the bedrooms have the benefit of fly nets and black-out blinds.

There is a spacious living area containing a 32-inch flat screen TV with British channels, plus a DVD player with a large supply of top DVDs.

The separate, well-equipped kitchen includes a full-size gas cooker (mains gas), microwave, kettle, coffee perculator, cafetieres, toaster, toasted sandwich maker, large electric hotplate (plancha) and an induction hotplate.

The large decking area is open at both ends for access to both sides of the garden and outbuildings. The decking is used for dining and you can choose to enjoy the cover of the built-in canopy or to enjoy the full sun at the other end of the decking. The available outbuilding will contain equipment that you may have use of, including most beach items, tennis racquets and balls, table tennis bats and balls and a selection of adults and kids bikes (these will save you a lot of money by not having to buy or pay very high local hire charges). A large covered gas barbecue is also provided.

We provide all bed linen and all towels including an extensive collection of quality hand towels, bath towels and even beach towels, which will save you packing these bulky items. All we ask is that you wash the towels after use in readiness for the next occupants. The washing machine can be used for any of your cleaning requirements.

Fun passes can be bought from Siblu to allow you access to all the park's facilities.

We require a 25% deposit at the time of booking with the balance payable 8 weeks before your holiday start date. Also at this time we will require a £200 refundable deposit subject to breakages or cleaning deduction if necessary. All being well, this will be returned to you within 7 days of your return home.

The mobile is let out on the basis that you "leave it as you found it" and is left clean for the next occupants. Should it be necessary to clean the mobile after your use funds will be withheld from your refundable deposit.

La Carabasse

The excellent facilities provided on this flagship Haven/Siblu site are only to be expected from such a reputable site manager. The general appearance of the park is clean, well-maintained and colourful.

Children are well catered for in their 3 kids' clubs which run for 3 different age ranges and gather twice daily in a very secure environment, giving parents the chance of a little break.

The swimming pool is always a great attraction with 3 pools and slides, and next to the pool is the main entertainment area (The Archipel) with bars, fast food, games room and table tennis area. The bar near the park entrance (The Atoll) is also open all day and provides a "happy hour" in the early evening and late disco. A very popular restaurant/pizzeria is also available adjoining The Atoll. There is also a well-equipped site shop with an excellent butchery and bakery. Local supermarkets are about 1-2 miles away with a much bigger selection (we will provide a recommendations list of the best places to shop for which products).

Other site facilities include the sports area with running track and football/basketball pitch where lots of events are arranged. Two floodlit tennis courts are also big attractions.

About the Area

Turn left outside the main park access and you will find a selection of shops, bars and restaurants and take-aways (known locally as "The Strip") leading to the long sandy beach. There is also a very popular local vineyard which provides tasting tours and if you bring your own bottle you can buy off the pump for just over 1 euro a litre.

Turn right outside the main gate and after a few hundred yards you will find the local Tourist Information Office who speak English and will provide you with a wealth of information on local attractions. They run very popular all-day excursions to a selection of the local medeival villages for around 6-7 Euros per person. These are fantastic value.

Further along from the Tourist office is Europark - a huge funfair with a great selection of rides for adults and kids alike. The Canal de Midi runs alongside the Europark and from here you can hire small electric powered boats to take you towards Agde or Beziers.

If you want to travel a little further afield the Cap d'Agde Tourist Office website will give you details in English of all the local major sporting and entertainment events going on. Most events are free and can be reached by local bus or taxi within minutes (Agde has a great "Son et Lumiere" on the history of Agde and also the unique River Jousting on the Herault River and Canal de Midi). Vias village also has some great events in the main square as well as the twice-weekly market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The modern marina area at Cap d'Agde and the unusual shops at Plage de Mole are within a few miles. The lovely beach and village at La Tamarissiere is a must and on a Sunday morning get the "little ferry" across the Herault River to Le Grau d'Agde for a busy little local market.

If you have transport there are many attractions within an hour of the site which we would highly recommend ranging from walled castles to river canoeing and golf. We will leave a list of our favourite local places to see, including photos and DVD, with an idea of distance and travel times and what you can expect to find.

I can promise you the choice is extensive - it's a fantastic area and there's always loads going on.
