The mobile home is 35’ x 10’, which sleeps 6, with 3 bedrooms comprising of one double bedroom, two twin bedded rooms, each with fitted wardrobes. It underwent a part refurbishment in 2016, turning the dining/lounge area and bedrooms into more bright, luxurious, pleasant areas.

Outside the home there is a large paved patio area with a table, chairs and large parasol to seat 6, together with 3 sun loungers for private bathing. The well-established garden features a large mulberry tree, ideal when the weather gets a little too hot. There are also 2 adult cycles for use at your own risk (other bicycles can be hired on site for a reasonable fee). This is a large plot with ample off road car parking alongside the home.

This is a family holiday home so we insist upon NO smoking and NO pets within the mobile home.

Extras included are a microwave, TV, Freeview box receiving English speaking channels, sun loungers, parasol and 2 adult bicycles. An iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner are provided also.

The mobile home is well equipped for six people, with a large recently decorated coastal themed lounge/dining area. With comfortable newly upholstered seating for eight and a well equipped kitchen with gas hob, grill and oven, electric toaster, refrigerator and freezer.

The master bedroom has a double bed with a newly upholstered headboard, dressing table, fitted wardrobe and over bed cupboards with bedside lamps. The new curtains are black out lined to keep out the bright Vendee sunshine.

The two twin bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, newly upholstered headboards and blackout lined curtains.

The home also benefits from having separate WC and shower facilities, each with a hand basin.

The home is ideally situated on a corner plot, with neighbours on one side only (to the left) and opposite a large grassed area, with a sand pit, small rockery, trees and shrubs where children can let their imagination run free and play. The area is one of the safest on the site with cars only using this area to access the nearby homes, children can be watched easily from the property.

About the Area

The home is situated at Les Amiaux, a four star family owned and run site near to Saint Jean de Monts, which is about 50 miles south west of Nantes. It is about ½ mile from safe and clean sandy beaches.

On this welcoming site the facilities include a solar heated indoor swimming pool for children and adults, an outdoor pool with water chutes, and a further outdoor pool with a baby splash pool.

Other facilities include snooker, table tennis, football, mini golf, archery, basketball, outdoor tennis courts, a games room and four play areas for children. There is a shop for purchasing groceries and newspapers. The site also has a restaurant and a bar where karaoke and disco evenings are held and children’s entertainers are provided. There is a well equipped laundry room with ironing facilities near to Reception and the necessary tokens for the machines may be purchased from Reception. Cycles may also be hired from Reception.

Saint Jean de Monts

The town and surrounding villages offer a multitude of cafes and restaurants with a superb variety of local and regional cuisine, from simple unpretentious to exotic. There are markets, golf courses, an excellent Tourist Office with English speaking staff. There is an abundance of night life in season. The old town is well worth a leisurely visit having picturesque old buildings and much character, whilst the newer and more exclusive parts of the resort area reflect the quality image of St Jean de Monts. In the holiday season the town centre becomes very lively and bustling and offering exciting night life.

Touring the Area by Car

You can explore the picturesque Loire valley, known as the Garden of France, and visit famous chateaux and vineyards, or spend a day at nearby St Nazaire or historic La Rochelle with its impressive historic fortified harbour. The beautiful island of Noirmoutier is accessible via a dramatic modern road bridge or, at low tide only, by a causeway across the sands. The Isle d’ Yeu is a short boat ride away. Inland is the Marais Poitevin regional park, an unspoilt region of salt marshes and canals known as Venice Verte (green Venice).

The area is one of the finest in France for keen ornithologists, where one may see many birds of prey, some rarely seen in Britain. The Vendee region has a wide variety of cuisine: fresh seafood is a major part of the local economy and the choice is tantalisingly varied.
