The nearest is at Port Cogolin, which is next to Les Marines de Cogolin, a
yacht harbour with many harbour side restaurants. Between La Croix-Valmer
and Cavalaire there are long stretches of beach with ample parking on the
roadside. This stretch of the coast tends to be less busy that the other way
towards St. Maxime. If you want to go over the hill through Ramatuelle,
there are some lovely beaches around Pampelonne.

Gassin is the nearest village, being just above the campsite. It has been
officially designated One of the Most Beautiful Villages in France,
primarily for its spectacular views across the Golfe de St. Tropez. Nearby
Ramatuelle is also worth a visit.
Grimaud you will have passed on your way in, but there is also Port Grimaud
on the cost, known as "Little Venice" with is pastel-coloured houses and
bridges over stretches of harbour that resemble canals.
If you like spectacle, then St. Tropez at night, particularly Saturday
night, around the old harbour is an experience. Artists will paint your
portrait by lamplight and millionaires dine on the afterdecks of their
yachts while the crowds look on!
