Plus many activities and entertainment during July and August.
The Mobile Home
The home is situated on a mature plot with hedges providing a high degree of privacy. The plot
itself is one of the sought after areas of the site; there is no passing traffic and there is
enough space to park two cars and pitch a reasonably good sized tent.
The mobile home sleeps 5. It has two bedrooms, a large living area that contains the kitchen, soft
seating area and dining table, also a shower room and separate WC.
The main bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and shelving units. There is also room at the foot of the
bed to put a baby's travel cot. The second bedroom has a bunk bed plus a single bed, so sleeps three, along
with a wardrobe and further shelving units.
In the living area the kitchen has a full size gas hob and an electric oven, full size sink and large fridge/freezer. It
is stocked with a good inventory of cooking and eating equipment. The
dining table extends out to seat six people. There is lso a TV with English TV channels, so you can
keep up with English TV and News during your stay.
The mobile home has a toilet and a separate shower room with basin.
Outside there is a patio area with a table, six chairs and two sun loungers, plus enough open space to
pitch a good size tent, which is a favourite for the teenagers in the family. There is also space to
park two cars in the driveway that leads up to the plot.
All gas and electric is included in the price.
Pillows and duvets are provided, but you will need to bring sheets and pillow cases.
Camping Les Dunes
Camping Les Dunes is a modern 4 star camp site next to the beach on the Atlantic coast. The beach has several miles of golden sand that is watched by life guard stations. The campsite is separated from the beach by about 50 metres of sand dunes.
The campsite has just about everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a swimming pool complex with indoor and outdoor swimming pools and water flumes, a children's play areas and kids club, a five-a-side pitch, volleyball area, table tennis and boules; all available for use without charge. There are also tennis courts that can be used without charge (requires booking) and there is mini golf on site where you have to leave a deposit for the use of the clubs.
By the swimming pool there is a restaurant, bar and take away that does a good selection of food and a plate-de- jour. An on site shop provides fresh vegetables, meat and sundry items, and also bakes fresh bread
Nearby are the towns of Bretignolles and Brem-sur-Mer. Bretignolles has a market on Sunday and Thursday mornings. There is also a 'Super-U' supermarket in Bretignolles and Hypermarkets are available further afield in St.Giles and Les Sables d'Olonne.
Locally there is the 'Park de-jeux' that we can only describe as a self-powered amusement park, which is definitely worth a day's visit if you have children.
If you want to get about by bicycle safely, cycle paths run along the coast and through the villages. There are further tourist attractions locally; information is available in the reception.
