Two bedroom holiday home for hire at Camping Le Dattier; a quaint French run campsite in Frejus, part of the beautiful Cote D'Azur. It is our little piece of paradise in France.

Our mobile home offers two bedrooms, one double and one triple (bunk beds with a single bed), along with a double sofa bed in the lounge, so can sleep up to 7 people.

The master bedroom is a double with wardrobe and storage shelves. It also includes a freestanding fan for use over the warmer months.

This leads into a shower room with shower, vanity unit with sink plus storage. The toilet is in a separate room along with the fuse board for the van.

Bedroom two comprises a bunk bed and a further single bed. There is a small wardrobe and shelf for storage along with two fans and a nightlight.

Pillows and duvets are provided. However you will need to bring your own pillow cases, sheets and duvet covers.

Within the lounge you will find the air conditioning unit, an L shaped sofa bed, TV, DVD player, music system, storage cupboards, books, DVDs and a variety of games for you to use as you wish. There is also an extendable dining table should you prefer to eat inside. The mobile home does have a SKY dish so if you have SKY and bring your card, then you should be able to access your SKY TV. Wi-Fi is available to purchase at varying costs, depending on the duration for which you require it.

The kitchen boasts a fridge, fridge freezer, microwave oven, toaster, coffee machine and kettle, plus crockery and utensils. Tea towels are not provided. There is also a small electric heater and a Shark hoover.

Outside you will find our decked area with dining table, chairs, sun loungers, storage box with tennis racquets, balls, buckets and spades etc. for children to use. There are scooters for young children to scoot around site on too. Here we also have our waste and recycling bins - France are hot on recycling so glass, papers etc. are put in separate bins, which can be found at the end of our row of mobile homes, next to the children's play area.

A wooden gazebo over the decking provides much needed shade. You also have access to a mosquito zapper - there are a lot of mosquitos in the warmer months so bring insect repellent! There is also a BBQ we inherited outside if you wish to use it.

We tend to move our sun loungers down into the small, stoned garden in front of our decking to capture the best sun. Cushions for all the outside chairs are stored in the lounge and can be put out for the course of your stay.

Location

Camping Le Dattier has two swimming pools, a bar and restaurant, play park, tennis courts and table tennis tables. There is also a launderette and further showers/toilet facilities.

Over the summer months there are often events such as karaoke and night swimming - keep an eye on the boards outside the pool and the bar.

There are many beautiful places to visit within an hour’s drive of the Le Dattier, including St Tropez, Cannes, Monaco, Nice and Antibes to name a few. There is a boat trip from Frejus to St Tropez if you prefer to driving,

Frejus itself is a historical town with a Roman amphitheatre (there is a free car park near here). You can take a land train around the town which is a god way to get your bearings. Other attractions in Frejus include Luna Park, Aqualand, a zoo, go-karting and Base Nature (play park, skate park, walks, cycling and also free parking in the evening). There are many day markets nearby too - the site office will be able to tell you when they are on. There is also a night market along Frejus Plage over the summer months and usually a weekly firework display on the beach during the summer holidays.

St Aygulf has a beautiful beach set in a cove and is only a 10 minute drive from the Le Dattier. We have found this a more child friendly beach as the waves can get rough at Frejus beach. In the summer months you can park for the day at a large car park on the right as you drive in, for a relatively small cost.

There are also many lakes in the area; Lake Cassien and Lake Roqebrune both have inflatable aqua parks and pedalo hire. Both also have cool beach bars to relax at. Lake Saint-Croix is a beautiful lake in the Verdon Gorges with a stunning backdrop.

Within a 10 minute drive there are at least 5 supermarkets close to site, as well as restaurants/takeaways. A pharmacy, cash point, doctors’ surgery and bakery are all within walking distance.

By far the easiest way to get to Le Dattier is to fly to Nice airport, from which it is a 45 minute drive. The train is an option from Paris - we have used the car and train before, which brings the car and yourselves down to St Raphael. To drive it is roughly 11 hours from Calais (non-stop).
