Riverbank Lodge is set in beautiful, historic Stratford-upon-Avon & offers a superb high spec. It’s in a fantastic, tranquil position overlooking the beautiful River Avon & includes an illuminated balcony & patio furniture together with private parking right outside.
Situated on Rayford Park, part of the award-winning Stratford Parks holiday development, the Lodge is within an easy and beautiful walk of the world-class tourist attractions of Stratford-upon-Avon; birthplace of William Shakespeare and home to the RSC Theatre.
The Lodge offers a high spec. with gas combi boiler central heating, full double glazing with window security locks and a stylish, modern décor throughout, including chrome nickel fittings.
There are 2 bedrooms, the principal has a double bed with en-suite room having a shower cubicle and WC, along with a separate walk-in closet. There is a TV fitted above the dressing table (Inc. hairdryer) with mirror. The second bedroom has narrow, yet full length twin beds (best suited for younger people or one adult) with built-in wardrobe storage.
There is a separate family bathroom and WC having full size bath and shower above.
The kitchen diner is fully equipped with modern, stainless steel appliances, an electric oven, gas hob with extractor, integrated fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. The sturdy dining table has 4 high back, comfy faux leather chairs. Should the need arise, laundry facilities are available on-site with coin operated washing and drying machines.
The lounge is furnished with a matching pair of free standing sofas (the largest converts to a sofa bed), wall-mounted hot-stone flame effect RC electric fire and swivel, wall-mounted TV/DVD with Freeview reception. There is also a Sony micro hi-fi music system with iPod dock, CD, Aux-in and DAB radio, along with glass display cabinets that offer relaxed lighting. French doors lead onto the enclosed balcony decking where you can sit and relax overlooking the beautiful River Avon, picturesque tree-lined riverbank and unoverlooked meadow on the opposite river bank - great for wildlife spotting. Use the balcony external lighting to glimpse swans swimming by at night!
There is also a private patio with large picnic table with seating if you need more al fresco space, should guests arrive. Adjoining is hard standing parking for one car, with the temporary option for a second.
As well as the huge benefit of your holiday Lodge not being overlooked at the front lounge and balcony aspect, its unique position gives views to the adjacent field and meadow beyond. Here you can keep watch of children whilst allowing them the freedom to play safely away from the river.

Rayford Park is part of the award-winning Stratford Parks holiday development, which comprises of 3 Parks; Rayford Park, Riverside Park and Avon Park. Our guests have the added benefit of using the facilities of all 3 parks. Avon Park is on the other side of the river, but linked by a private pedestrian bridge.
Walk a couple of minutes from the Lodge is the stunning Riverside Clubhouse, which is close by, yet not so close to either see or hear any noise! The log clubhouse is elevated, giving marvellous balcony views across the River Avon, Welcombe Hills and surrounding Warwickshire countryside. Here there is a relaxed restaurant bar serving a variety of meals and snacks and occasional outdoor BBQ / food stalls. There is a large entertainment room with big screen, Saturday night live music (also mid-week during high season) and children are welcome. Private function rooms may also be available to hire. Opening times vary according to season. Also on site is a well-equipped, enclosed children's play area together with a covered mini-golf area.
A popular river boat taxi service runs frequently back and forth between the clubhouse jetty and Stratford town marina during the daytime (seasonal); a beautiful river trip in itself!
Free fishing is allowed along 1.5 miles of riverbank (subject to rod licence) including right outside your Lodge!
Kayaking is allowed in the river and there are occasional kayak, archery and laser shooting hire and tuition sessions. There is plenty of outdoor space in the nearby fields and you may bring your own bikes to cycle around the parks. For seniors or less active youngsters, there is also a bowling green.
On-site facilities also include a laundry room with coin operated washing and drying machines, should the need arise.
The village of Tiddington is a 10 minute walk through the holiday park, where there is a Spar convenience store with Post Office, gastro-pub with beer garden, tapas/deli bar, Indian and Chinese restaurants, both with takeaway services - all are an excellent standard!
Public buses run frequently from Tiddington to surrounding towns and there is a railway station in Stratford providing links to national transport networks including airports.
Stratford-upon-Avon has many world class, historic tourist attractions and this original medieval market town also boasts the modern. There is a leisure centre with indoor swimming pools, a cinema and a host of mainstream and boutique shops, restaurants, coffee shops, bars and nightspots. A mile out of town is the Maybird Retail Park and there are several nearby golf courses and hotels with spa facilities.
A few miles further afield are the historic attractions of Charlecote Park Country House, Warwick Castle and Kenilworth Castle. The Cotswolds are an easy day out drive.
