Chapel St Leonard's is known as the 'Village by the Sea', due to its quiet location. It has a dignified air, yet still boasts many local facilities; there are several restaurants, tea rooms and public houses. There is also a renowned night club with well-known acts appearing in the evenings, while the day time is taken up by bingo and other activities. Some of the best fishing lakes in Lincolnshire are within easy reach. There are two swimming pools close by; one adjacent to the Copacabana night club.
A magnificent sandy beach is just 10 minutes walk from the chalet and the lively resort of Skegness is a 15 minute drive away. Mablethorpe is about a 20 minute drive in the opposite direction.
Fantasy Island (a renowned theme park) is only 12 minutes drive from Chapel St Leonard's.
The Skegness Road has recently had a Garden Centre added, together with a large, keenly priced restaurant.
Within an hour’s drive is the ancient county town of Lincoln with its cathedral and medieval and Georgian shops and houses. Louth is but a short drive away, with its weekly farmers market and Horncastle, known for its antiques trade, is only 30 minutes away by car.
