Owner's Description

This comfortable, spacious, air conditioned mobile home for sale is located in a quiet corner of Camping le Dattier, in a private position at the end of a small cul-de-sac. It overlooks olive groves on two sides with views to the Esterel mountains and the Pre-Alpes. Your parking space is directly adjacent to the mobile home.

Camping le Dattier is a 4 Star campsite, medium sized (7 acres) and family owned, with two pools, bar, restaurant, games room, tennis courts, petanque court, and children’s play area with two pet donkeys. It is well located on the edge of the Roman town of Frejus, being a few minutes drive from the A8 “La Provencal” motorway and close to the attractions of the Cote d’Azur. Nice Airport is just 40 minutes drive away. A Leader Price supermarket is located about 100m from the campsite entrance and various bars and restaurants are within walking distance.

The mobile home is a 34ft x 12ft Willerby Grand with three bedrooms. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room with shower, toilet and basin in a vanity unit, and is equipped with a hair dryer, fan, blackout blinds, and insect screens. There is a wardrobe, dressing table with drawers, storage cupboards concealed behind the dressing table mirrors, bedside cupboards, wall lights, and an overbed shelf. There is also lockable underbed storage.

The twin bedroom is equipped with twin beds which can be pushed together if required, overbed cupboards, wardrobe, dressing table with drawers, bedside table with drawers, fan, insect screens and blackout blinds. This bedroom is directly adjacent to the main bathroom, which has a larger shower with a deep shower tray which can be used as a childs bath, toilet, and basin with vanity.

The smallest bedroom is currently used as a walk-in robe/storage room but could easily be converted back to a bedroom with the addition of bunk beds.

The master and smaller bedrooms are separated by a central living area which has a lounge suite (not a fitted banquette) with a sofa which pulls out to a double bed and has lift up storage to keep bedding in during the day. The air conditioning unit is located in this central living area and so can be used to cool the whole mobile home. The lounge area has storage cupboards, coffee table, lamp table and TV unit, and the lamp, flat screen tv, dvd player, and Sky box (no card) are included. Adjacent to the lounge area is the kitchen/dining area which has a small four seater dining set. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge freezer, microwave, hob, table top oven, and a full inventory of crockery and kitchen/dining equipment.

English and French plug sockets are present throughout the mobile home.

Outdoor is a large decked area (34 sqm approx.) with two permanent gazebos, one to provide shade for an outdoor lounge and the other for outdoor dining. The first gazebo, which is directly in front of the French doors to the central lounge area, accommodates an outdoor lounge suite (with thick cushions and a spare set of covers), outdoor coffee table , and outdoor carpet, and has electric lighting. The other gazebo accommodates an outdoor dining table and six chairs, BBQ, shed with washing machine, and two sun-loungers. A tool shed (located adjacent to the parking space) and contents (including a spare boiler) is also included in the price.


Camping le Dattier is a friendly, family run, 4 star site in a semi-rural area. The site is over 7 acres set among olive groves and close to vineyards, 3 km from Frejus town centre and 4.5 km from the beach. Le Dattier is an idyllic hideaway perfect for couples, families or solo travellers.

There are 2 beautiful swimming-pools, one with stunning views, a paddling pool, a bar/ restaurant serving local food on a terrace complete with lemon trees and breath-taking views. For the children there is a games room, table tennis table, a tennis court, a Pétanque court, a play area and donkey enclosure. Children's entertainment and live entertainment is available in peak season (July and August) when the site is livelier.

Across the road from the site there is a well-stocked Leaderprice supermarket and a pizza parlour. There are several restaurants adjacent to the site. Other shops and pubs are several minutes’ walk away. Hypermarkets are located a few minutes’ drive away.

What To See & Do

There is so much to see and do in the area it is not possible to fit it all on this page. A car would enable you to get the most out of this area; however, Le Dattier lends itself to lazy days by the pool or on the decking with a glass of locally produced wine gazing at the view!

Frejus/St Raphael 10 minutes by car - restaurants, beaches, shops, waterpark, funfair in high season, marina, harbour and boat trips, and Frejus old quarter which was once a Roman city, and retains its ancient ruins, a medieval cathedral, and winding streets.

Day trips - Monaco, Monte Carlo, Nice, Cannes, St Tropez, Marseilles, Port Grimaud, Ste-Maxime, Grasse, (perfume capital of the world), St Paul de Vence, Grand Canyon du Verdon & Lac de Ste Croix.

A sample of activities within driving distance:

- Swimming / waterslides - Aquatica Waterpark at Frejus, sandy beaches galore, Grand Canyon du Verdon and the turquoise waters of the Lac du Verdon - walk and climb, or hire a pedalo or canoe and explore the lake and river that winds its way along the base of the gorge. Considered by many to be the unofficial eighth wonder of the world.

- Sea life shows - Marineland at Antibes - an aquarium with a glass tunnel, through which you can walk and see the sharks and other marine life; there are also killer whales and dolphins which put on spectacular displays.

- For the energetic - Walking (there are a number of marked walks through the nearby Esterel mountains, all of varying levels of difficulty), go-karting, golf, crazy golf, bowling, Zoological Park, white water rafting, paddle boarding, jet skiing.

- Special interest – Frejus cathedral and medieval quarter, military museum, Oceanographic museum at Monaco, wine tasting

- Shopping - Sunday morning market in Frejus, Europe's largest market is held on Fridays at Ventimiglia just over the Italian border, designer shopping in Nice and Cannes, perfume at Grasse, perfume capital of the world.

Getting There

Flying - Easyjet and Jet2 fly to Nice from many UK airports and cheap flights can often be found if booked in advance. Cars can be hired at the airport.

Self Drive – various ferries are available from the UK and Ireland, depending on your location. Frejus is approximately 12 hours drive from Northern France and is just off the A8 (exit 38). Toll motorways run all the way from Northern France to the Riviera. There are lots of hotels to choose from enroute, both B&B and major hotel chains.
