About the Area

The caravan is situated in an idyllic rural location just 4 miles from the popular harbour town of Fowey. Designated as an area of natural beauty, Fowey has lots to offer with something for everyone, including restaurants, pubs and shops.

Labelled by some as the eighth wonder of the world, the Eden Project can be reached by car in 10 minutes. The Eden Project is a fabulous Cornish charity that aims to educate and inform its visitors about flora throughout the world and their uses in modern society. There is something for everyone including cafes and restaurants, a zip wire, a tractor train and a sky walk to name a few - and that's before you enter the enormous biomes.

If you like the beach then Ashwood is perfectly located; within 5 miles are two of Cornwall's most beautiful beaches. Polkerris Beach is a family friendly, sheltered beach with a shop, pub, cafe and restaurant on site. For those who don't mind a short walk (approximately 1 mile from the car park), the privately owned Menabilly Beach will not disappoint those in search of a tranquil spot with calm seas.

In the last 2 years the National Trust and Forestry Commission have built two state of the art cycle trails at Lanhydrock House and Cardinham Woods respectively. Lanhydrock is more suited to the family, with hard pack trails meandering through the woods that all lead back to a lovely cafe with adjacent children's park. Cardinham suits the more experienced rider and has a 4/5 mile loop with blue, red and black runs. Both cycle centres can be reached within 10 minutes in the car.
