About the Area
On site there are two outdoor pools, one with a Roman whirlpool, diving board and slide, the other being a kiddies' pool.
There is a club house with entertainment in the low season on Friday and Saturday with bingo, and a full range of entertainment throughout the week in high season. There is a Bistro inside the club that serves meals throughout the day, which overlooks the pool area.
New for 2017 is a cocktail bar around the pool, which is open throughout the high season.
Also on site is a tennis court (small charge), an amusement arcade with small shop, launderette, cycle hire and an adventure playground.
A bus service runs just outside the park.
The nearest village, Minster, is only a five minute drive, where you will find pubs, a Post Office, bakers, butchers and a number of eateries and a supermarket.
There are many places of interest locally, offering something for everyone. There are sandy beaches at Minnis Bay, Ramsgate and Broadstairs, as well as Margate where you will also find the Turner Gallery and Dreamland amusement park.
Whitstable has a small harbour and is a seafood town; great if you like shell fish.
Westwood Cross is a big shopping centre, so if you like the big names this is the place to visit.
Canterbury is only a short drive away and has a lovely cathedral and shopping centre to look around.
There are also a number of zoos around, including Howletts, Wildwood and Wingham.
Also available locally you can hire canoes to paddle along the River Stour or maybe visit one of the number of gardens, including The Salutation's Secret Gardens of sandwich, which has appeared on TV.
